Hello. Got a question here: if I disable 3G connection and use EDGE, will I be charged according to the normal rate (that 10 sen per 10 KB thing) and not the data plan rate? I'm planning to use EDGE if I'm not browsing the internet/watching videos/listening to online radio etc. so I can still get my iMessages and maximize the battery life.

Thanks.

Same also but if u have a Data plan, u don't need to worry. Plus you do not have to off your 3G to maximize your battery life, I switch it on 24/7, still my phone can go for a Full day or more smile.gif

With 3G, your battery life will increase as that's is for sure. However, it really depends on your location. For me, I could last 100% battery close to 12 hours. Another 12 hours more from mophie.

in that case, things sure are odd.

March 16 : Paid $300 during the sign up
March 28 : Billed $156.85 ($143.15 remain) <--- March + April
April 28 : Billed $103.90 ($39.25 remain) <---- May

May 30: Charged $64.65 from my bank account (Autobilling) <---- June

to summarize what i think is going on:

March : $52.95 (156.85 - 103.9)
April : $103.9
May : $103.9
June : $64.65 ( 103.9 - 39.25)

wtf is going on?if the $64.65 is for June then it makes sense.

called celcom but he said $64.65 is for May too.

and uhhh..autobiling 5% didnt work cause 64.65 + 39.25 = 103.9?

That is pro rate.

1. Chill up.
2. Celcom doesn't over charge you smile.gif

Pro rate works example as below:

My bill circle runs until 18 th every month. Therefore, if you sign up 16th or 20th, then there will be a pro rate for the charges. Of course, you don't expect Celcom to give you free right?

Also, for the first bill, you got to wait for a few days and you will see the deduction. The best is you can go to any branch and ask them. I been with Celcom for a few years and I know their first bill is very confusing but they never overcharge. So, yup safe to go ask them smile.gif
