Hmm...my wife dropped 8kgs in her 1st trimester. According to docs, it should be ok as long as she's taking all her supplements and have at least 5 meals a day. Her morning sickness was pretty bad and it was all the way to her 5th month. Now at 8 months along, she's back to her old weight... Both mom and little one seems to he healthy..
dont worry ya...! |

QUOTE(vreis @ Jun 1 2011, 02:39 PM) I search forums most preggy womens face weight reduction in 1st trimester. We have highlighted to our gynae about the reduction but i guess is too early to tell. Somehow, the gynae only give Folic acid but not any vitamins supplement. But she take food that rich in vitamins to compensate. |

May be before pregnant i'm and my husband start to having food supplement for more than six month jor........ In case, if your wife have bad morning sickness or smell something will feeling bad or vomit......it's should be normal. During vomit, because the water from body was come out and reducing, so the weight also reducing. Pregnant women was easy to get gastric pain....its because of wind inside the stomach....and having small portion 5 meals a day is good way Guys, dont worry! |

We do not take supplement but had started take healthy diet food 1-2 months before pregnant. Now she want to eat whatever she has in her mind, and me as driver will have to bring her to go. But due to she got gastric, have to monitor food intake. Most headache everytime food she took cannot finish because she only eat small portion and the rest will settle by me. She want to eat seafood like crab, ice -cream and bla bla..actually i also don't know whether she can eat. But my friend said better avoid crab because the child will be very hand itchy.... Just seeking for every opinion because this is my first time...dont know excited or stressing... |

Hi,
Don't worry if u r wife will not be able to eat during her 1st trimester. Same with me when I was pregnant also. Actually I was only able to drink tea without throwing up during 1st month to 3rd month... After that you won't have to tell your wife to eat, she will eat anything she can get her hands on cos sooooooo hungry all the time But pls make sure she take enough supplements like Vitamin C, Calcium, Folic Acid, Iron etc (natural food or Tablets) according to Doctors prescription. Also better if she drink lots of milk... I drank Anmum Materna Chocolate and then switched to Similac Mom... This post has been edited by Mommy_2011: Jun 2 2011, 04:12 PM |

I don't agree.
if baby is moving actively, it means she's healthy and kicking. Recently i read a magazine saying eating crab during pregnancy is not advisable coz it's "cold" . Might cause accidents esp. during 1st trimester. For me eat anything moderately will be okay. Overeat anything will bring trouble. |
