TS, you are not that smart either.
Steal wifi just for downloading purpose? lol

There are lots more things you can do when you connected to the same
network
1) Configure honeypot to capture encrypted pages, bank accounts, facebook, etc.
2) DOS attack
3) Packet sniffings - email accounts, ym chat, etc
4) File sharing
5) Keylogger client deployment tools

Well if thats the case, then honeypots looks far more malicious than hacking a a wifi if someone intentionally set their wifi to open and tap in all people's login account.

http://ettercap.sourceforge.net/

monitor your home network and capture packets sent. The security is based on your router strength, to capture more packets make sure you set your connection to open.

Please use the information wisely, dont commit crimes with it ok biggrin.gif icon_idea.gif

remember that the people who access your home network can do the same.

there are other fun things you can do like idiocy (hijacks twitter accounts) firesheep (allows you to use session cookies for own purposes, as long as they are logged in)

an alternative to ettercap is wireshark, formerly known as ethereal.

it's being sent over your personal LAN, why wouldn't you be able to intercept the data?

What you are thinking off is to intercept a packet sent on another network.

I think u better edit before other forumers get the wrong idea, i think ill stick with blocking mac addresses and changing to wpa and leave it as it be. Informational thread that has become dangerous.
