Read the manual and tried the 'customize setting', then go to 'door setting', but can't see the 'auto lock', although it is written in the manual.. guess this 'auto lock' feature is disabled for malaysia insight. Am I right?

QUOTE(jacek @ Jul 4 2011, 10:25 AM) i couldnt remember where i've read on the insight glass which is heat resistance. i do checked with the SA and he did mentioned that insight glasses are made to resist heat, in 1 word, it is better than the others honda car glasses. dunno how true it is. Yeah, it was written in the honda insight official brochure, under the "Exterior" section. It is called "Heat Absorbing Glass (Side & Rear)"but i do feel it is cooler than my previous civic, which is fully tinted. Cool.. This post has been edited by vtspot: Jul 4 2011, 11:17 AM |

Is it really matter if we do not wait till some of the lights (such as ABS, airbag, etc...) to turn off before starting the engine?
So for the cars that have the "Start-Stop Engine" button such as Forte, they usually have to start their engine immediately without waiting the lights to be turned off.. I read the Insight manual and it does not mention about waiting the light off before starting engine... it just confused me a bit, so is it ok to start the Insight engine without waiting the lights to be turned off?? Will it harm the engine or the car?? |

Thanks, yeah, you are right. it's always good to take extra steps to take care of our car since it does not take many efforts to do that, just wait for few seconds only..
I known this for years as well, it just suddenly confused me a bit when I realized those cars that have the "Start-Stop Engine" button, they can't wait till the light off before starting the engine.. |

QUOTE(fychan @ Jul 9 2011, 09:54 AM) Nuvi 2565 Where do you place your GPS? And what type of camera are you using? Appreciate if you can share the photo.. thank you.. The one that has a video input for front/reverse camera regards Added on July 9, 2011, 9:56 am There are no settings to be done at all... Just go to any shop install the front/rear cameras... then after that plug the cable into Garmin... The camera view is automatically triggered upon gear change |

Dear all,
I have installed a "brake lock" in the carshop. Basically it will auto-lock the doors when I press the brake. However, when i start the engine, it "unlock" my car again. I have to press the brake again to lock it back. I go back to the carshop and he said this is normal for all honda cars installing "brake lock". And, he said, normally people go in the car, start the engine then only press the brake and lock the car. I have to accept it at first. But now think back, it does not make sense. Because if I go in the car and immediately lock the door (either through brake lock or using the master central lock), then start the engine, it unlocks the doors.. I did it at Breyton at the Crystal Point, Penang. Is it true of what he said?? Can anyone advise me? Thank you. |

QUOTE(infinitium @ Jul 22 2011, 02:45 PM) any good accessory shop can do for you. mine in Penang was RM150. auto-lock when step on pedal, but no auto-unlock when off-engine. Mine is auto lock when step on brake pedal and then auto-unlock when off-engine...But the problem is, when i start engine, it will unlock the door with the irritating "unlock" sound. Ends up, I go back to them and ask them to remove the auto-unlock.. just leave the auto-lock.. |
