Installation

To install this ROM:
You will need to install recovery version 4.0.0.5 or higher to your device. Follow the Ultimate Guide for details on how to do this
Download the zip file of your choice from the links below (or the online kitchen) and copy to your SD card
Restart your device in recovery mode holding the volume up and power buttons
PERFORM A NANDROID BACKUP FROM THE MENU
Select the option to apply an update zip, and select the zip file you copied to your memory card

I think it's just the same as backing up in ClockworkMod Recovery. If me, I won't run nandroid backup. That's me though. If you want, you could try, won't hurt.

Lol. Downloading 8GB takes 30 minutes only? Hehe. In Brunei, I'm better off sleeping rather then waiting for it to finish. Lol.

Since some of us (including me) still need convincing from the forum users to buy X5. Let me share my doubts and 'cons' after reading X5 related forum for whole day. If the doubts are cleared, I think I'll be convinced.

1) 华为U8800（X5）的RAM内存为512MB。至于不少新手小白反映的“用《智能统计》检测，发现华为U8800显示内存的总大小只有353MB，其中，已用223MB，可用130MB”的问题，其实很简单，这说明开机后一共有大约159MB RAM被机器运行系统和用户界面调用。(Don't quite understand what it meant)

2) Is the screen easily scratched? Does it come with Gorilla glass?

3)Wifi drop problem (already discussed earlier post)

4) Video recording jerky 720p but 17fps only, not the usual 30fps. (this limitation doesn't bother me)

5) Third party headphone may not work well on X5

6) read somewhere that app2sd doesn't work on certain ROM. This bother me because I plan to install huge collection of dictionaries which takes up lots of space.

7) can't think of any ....

5 - This one, yes, there's some problem. But I think it depends on the headphone itself. For me, I tested it with my AKG Q350 and it doesn't work well. But that's due to the fact that on the AKG box itself, it says "Compatible with iPod, iPhone, iPad and Blackberry.

Do update me ya bro about the Titanium Backup. Maybe try all your backed-up apps too, do you encounter any force close or not. Hehe.

I think it's not a pro version, that's why need to approve one by one. Haha. If you have completed everything, have the time and tested every apps, tell me if there's any problem ya. Might be handy in the future if there's no problem.

Mine scores 2045 on quadrant, OC'ed to 1.2ghz ondemand.

Just noticed my x5 B137 Rom rebooted twice after Oc to 1.2 Ghz, not sure why

BTW Eric, B137@1.2Ghz supposed can get 2000 in Quadrant, your score quite low

Is yours stable @1.2Ghz? Mine has reboot twice.
