Both also good.. Carfit is for engine compartment only. .If u were to fit the whole car sure add on another 200kg++.. The insulflex/superlon is for interior usage, it blocks sound and heat.. so ur car will be cooler than normal and wont hear those tire noises much after covering the whole car..

I'm wondering, why change nice looking sport rims and then use entry level tyres (no offense to Jynorip, talking abt general). IMO, tyres is one of the most overlook safety thingy by most ppl. No matter whether u got abs, extra makan braking system, etc, the only thing that keeps in contact with the road are tyres.
I've seen some highly modded cars, super nice, super expensive outlook with some even using brembo brakes and when i look at the tyres......pengsan liao, ue silverstone M5. I would rather leave the car unmodded, use the dough to get better tyres with more grips, not becoz i like performance but safety is still number one.
Probably its becoz its a wear and tear items and price are super expensive nowadays tho....
btw now at CoSE......darn no Lokatoo girl anymore...what I am gonna do...might have to wait wholeday for them to check, then call vendor to replace the side window.
Lokatoo girl long lone gone ady.. She was only there till the end of nov last year..
U shd have brought laptop there and watch PPS loh..

Initially i also thought to change rims to have nicer outlook. But then budget and rationale keep holding me back. Maybe will change after my tyres go botak la..since my stock tyres still quite new..only 4K km

Yeah im planning to change tires and rims after my current one botak only.. Now feel really sayang leh want to throw away these tires when its still quite new..

the best tyre for now will be what brand?
Best tested for wet performance to date Toyo Proxes T1-R (tested on Honda FD2 - tested up to 170kmh in very wet and heavy rain and it didnt even slip a bit) .. For dry performance, Continental Extreme Contact (botak damn fast, can only last around 8k km on M5), Pirelli PZero (superb grip, but noisy), bridgestone potenza RE001..

helo every1..,long time didn't lepak now become v18..really geng a..
i'm using xm1 almost a year le..,still have 70% to spare..can say bargain for money..
o ya..,but the ori brake pad is really getting my nerves..wan to change dy..
the pad tat posted on 1 page..is it reliable..?
XM1 is more to long life compound.. The tires are harder and noisier.. So far travelled for around 55k km on my Sentra B14 and still it looks like it has 10k km to go before it needs to be changed..
Yeah the front page RS Pads are very good.. High stopping power.. XD

their spam this thread like no tomorrow, i need to reverse page after page.
I rev my car but the sound still same and consistent engine sound, but like diesel engine lor.
Spam biasa lah... haha.. Active chatting mah.. At least got lots of stuffs to chat here. XD
Then its normal engine harshness lah.. What engine oil do u use? If u want it to be quieter u can use engine oil that are a bit thicker, with the viscosity in 50 range.. But u sacrifice a bit of performance lah, especially acceleration.

Finally someone understand why I'm willing to fork out Rm 400+ for a piece of 215/45/17 tyre

Yup... It definitely plays a part.. It makes ur rim look nicer/uglier..

Added on June 7, 2011, 3:32 pmBut seriously Pupumaru...
215/45/17 91W
215 = tyre width.
45 = tyre thickness (low/high profile?) -
This is the percentage of the tire width, so a 215/45 tire and a 265/45 tire wont have the same height cos the 45 is 45% of the tire width17 = tyre diameter (17 inch).
91 = max load/weight capacity.
W = Max speed rating.
Traction AA = Wet Grip rating.
Threadwear 220 = threadwear rating. -
This is very judgemental as threadwear varies from 1 company to another. A company with 320 threadwear doesnt means that its better than another 280 threadwear from another company. A harder compound tire with 280 threadwear can last longer than a Proxes T1-R with 320 threadwear. Have I missed out anything else?
