I'm getting a new antivirus....
What u guys recommend?I'm thinking more of a complete protection package...

Kaspersky is a solid program..... avoid Norton as it is a resource hog

If you are thinking paid is better than free, than you are wrong. Cause I am one of those people using the free version and I am still protected. Here are my security setup up.

avast Free v6
Online Armor free v5
Sandboxie free (One of the first thing I install when format)
Malwarebytes
Eset Online Scanner
Panda USB Vaccine Portable
Winpatrol free
Neo's Safekeys (protection against keylogger)
Lastpass
ClearCloud DNS

Browser :
-Firefox with WOT, ad blocker plus
-Google Chrome with WOT, ad blocker
-Updated Java and flash


I don't believe in paying for security after finding out that my free combo works as great as paid suites or even better. If you really want to fork out money, I will suggest KIS 2011 3 user license. Heck even you can get kaspersky for free. How?

And there is no such thing as best antivirus. The best thing is the user is educated. Security software can only protect you so far. The rest is up to the user. If a user is click happy, there is no pint of having the world's best antivirus. Take Mac user for example. They are ignorant that their Mac is completely bulletproof, hence, a lot of them got infected with Mac Defender rogue.

Top 10 review is bias. They have been paid to show the best antivirus. If you want to trust reviews, trust AV Comparatives. That is the only review I will trust.

Comodo Internet Security, totally free and good. got sandbox, firewall and stuffs. so far no treat detected.
using Superantispyware, Malwarebytes and Hitman Pro as on demand scanner, nothing was found

CIS + Avast 6+ No script for Mozilla + sandboxie

for me, NOD32 is the best..lightweight program + easy to update virus database.
for malware, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware done a great job.

if paid are following :
bitdefender,kaspersky

free : avast,comodo,avg ~

use comodo..its same perfomance like nod32..

nod32 = paid

comode= free

Personal use?
Kapersky is good, but at times not good enough for office use.

Yes, F-secure using Kaspersky engine.

avira premium security suite
it has complete prtection even web filter and email filter

Can consider Kaspersky Internet Security 2011, a full security suite for your computer. Can also be upgraded to the next version (when it is released) as long as your license key is still valid.

McAfee is useless. Don't even bother trying. Use Kaspersky or avast.

norton is hogging? try first ... imo, panda is the new resource hogger here.

KIS 2012 and Comodo Internet Security is the best but Comodo have more false positive detection but can detect the newest threat.
