another con found in MG 00 Qan[T] doh.gif
[attachmentid=2289302]

the side skirt armor that need to remove if you want put GN Sword V
become loose and keep falling...
of course can fix it with glue or cement but if you do that you wont be able to put GN Sword
i think Qan[T] have more cons rather than pros sad.gif

Another con for me is after you've assembled the shield and the green effect parts together. When you want to remove the parts to assemble the buster sword, one particular part is so difficult to remove (at least it was for me), I ended up breaking it. The part is in the manual, Page 16, #14(5), part H19.

EDIT: page number and part.

U can search the info actually in the forum or use google.. sure can find. Even youtube.... sure can find. simple answer :
1) dont have to put if you dont want, it just looks nicer, its like stickers
2) Its called Mark softer or Mark setter... Softer is to make it easier to slide and flatten out on the surface, setter is a bit more like glue... both are not mandatory... in most cases, water alone is enuf.... assuming u r using water slides of course. Dry transfers are different story...

For further information, you can try googling

Cheers

somehow i found AGE looks still okay...well had to see the anime story goes. tongue.gif

the 1:48 i kinda like the detail they added, not changing the designs like how the make the PG Strike...but i did like to see Bandai make RG version of AGE  brows.gif

The spoiler seems like a bit of fresh air in terms of design...Having spoiler is like having super speed (like car, low drag) I guess, but what is the point having the sparrow mode, rite? even faster (ninja) cool2.gif
Be careful, your wish might come true cool.gif

Slow-slow build la better based on free time (usually weekend for me), i'm even slower but I really enjoy it. My last MG (GP03s) took me almost 4-5 months to complete (but still no dry transfer stickers and screws). Then u realise there is another warehouse sale and suddenly one more Mg in your house sweat.gif . Normally I assemble it when my children are sleeping blush.gif

BTW guys, What is the effect for not applying the screws? Its for protecting the joints (especially ankles) when doing the flying pose rite? hmm.gif Any other effect, the standing pose look sturdy enuf though

too bad i don't the super zaku.. too much weapon!!!
i was reading GUNDAM legend comic, found the history of black tri star... really amazing pilot.

Are we here to discuss Gundam & Mecha Modelling, or our objective shifted to flooding the thread to 2500 posts and create v20... v21... v22... v23...?

I totally agree with you, Ng. I don't get what's the hype about starting a new thread. Are we racing against the Transformers or Hot Wheels thread? I don't know... rolleyes.gif

That's a fugly bad kit. Bandai knows it. Even in all the official pictures, the ridiculously skinny waist is not shown. It's usually blocked by the weapon or something else in the background to make it look less obvious. Don't believe me? See for yourself.

My reason doing gunpla?
Because I was attracted by the designs and mechanic used.
And most important thing, because it takes so much effort for the engineer to think a way to mold it and how to make it easier yet challenging for us to build it.
I damn respect gundam engineer!! notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif

You and i think alike. cheers.gif

i'm gonna disagree with the tutorials. i think setter is only optional if your decals don't adhere properly. the more important one is mr mark softener.. if you had more cash to spare, get THAT instead

He never mentioned Mr. Mark Setter being compulsory, shauno.

If you’ve got cash to spend, try using Mr Mark Setter. To use it, apply some on the surface of your gunpla before you apply the water-slide decal (before step [3]). Then you apply some directly on top of your decal (after step [4]). The purpose of Mr Mark Setter is to make the decal stick better to your gunpla surface and to give the appearance that the decal was actually ‘painted’ on your gunpla. It’s just optional, the decals still look fine without it.

The non-porous surface of plastic makes the default glue on the decals not sticky enough. If you've painted it, it should be sticky enough. Otherwise, with Mr Mark Setter, it would definitely stick better. Mr Mark Softener is much more useful when applying decals on uneven or curved surfaces.

neither did i say anything was compulsory.. my point is if you have more cash, it would be better to get softener than setter.. but this isn't the place to debate over this. best compromise is to use both biggrin.gif
