I remembered we can mail our flight tickets to them & in return they'll give us some freebies and brochures in return...

Hi guys,I am going to Taiwan for a week on 24th.Still havent book any hotel or homestay.Kinda lost here about what needs to be done since it's my first time to travel overseas.

My fren recommended me a good homestay here:http://tw.myblog.yahoo.com/fatimaqhome/ (RM160 per night for 1 room with 2 double size bed) I sent them email but no reply so far so I guess have to find alternative.

Any recommendation?Price need to be as low as possible 

And then any advice that I should take note?Once again I am a newbie

Let me share with you guys a trick i use all the time. Check Agoda or tripadvisor for the hotel/room you want.
DONT BUY IT FIRST.
Call the hotel, tell them you saw this offer here, is there anything they can offer for cheaper?
70% of the time they will give you a slightly cheaper/better deal.

Btw do share your experience. Not so much info for banana to go Taiwan.

Yes it's possible if you do not do all the hiking trails. If you have no scooter licence then it's better not to do it.

Jiu fen doesn't require a day but since you are already there might as visit other places nearby.

Since I will be arriving at TaoYuan airport at around 11.30pm, how can I get to my hotel at XimenDing area? We have 5 ppl here. Any recommendation for an affordable transportation?

Planning a day trip to both JiuFen and ShiFen, anyone did both in a day?
I am debating whether to head to ShiFen first or to JiuFen first.?

If i head out early, what time does most shops open in Shifen & JiuFen?

Day 2: Already booked accommodation at Shangri-la at Qing Jing (清境) but dunno how to travel from Taipei to that place yet. :S (please recommend. I'll email the hotel and ask them tomorrow)
