anyone try to rent a scooter/bike in taiwan especially in 垦丁Kenting ?
they do need  international driving permit right?

Hubby rented one at hualien without intl license. Some shops are strict, must show them intl license. But there are many scooter shops around. U can nego with them one.

For me i think shihlin market is not that great la. I think it boils down to personal preference. For food i think raohe seems good and i ate alot on miaokou night market when i was at keelung. I went to Taipei Fish Market and ate spider crab. One leg rm48. But so sedap la.hahhaha

Yup I agree. Shilin is over rated. Of course since its so popular u have to go & see it.
I prefer Ning Xia, Raohe, Fengjia & the one at Danshui old street. So many stuff to see, buy & eat at the Danshui night market. Cheap too!

i have already booked my hualien tra ticket online. secured seat first as this tra is very hotselling. manage to book the tra-taroko express which is 1hr faster than the others

can someone tell me what seat number is better? my seat number is even number. any idea it is facing left right front back?
*
I forgot my ticket no already, but hopefully u r seating on the left side cos can see beautiful scenery + Pacific Ocean. The right side just see boring mountains & kampung houses. Not nice at all!

hi!
how can i know if im seating on the left or right? coz after booking they only give me seat number on my ticket. can i request the seating when collect ticket?
can i know this seating is all facing front? or 4 seats facing each other?
*
I don't think u can request for seat number. It's auto allocated to u. Depends on ur luck lah, hope u get the seat on the left side. The seats are facing front.
The Taiwanese are very disciplined type. They sit according to their seat number, won't simply sit other ppl's place.
Last time I went, I got the seat on the left & hubby on the right. Lucky no one seating next to me so I ask hubby to sit lor.
Btw, even if u buy 2 tics online at the same time, the seat no. allocated to u could be different too. Not necessarily next to each other.

If I'm not mistaken, tickets booked but not paid will be released at 6am the next day. So if u want, go in & book ur tics at 6am lar
