this tool plays with boost/fuel/etc and VW is not stupid with the recent high failure rate on thier car.

Now - they will plug in thier diagnostic tool and this tool captures logs etc. Simple check on the boost will tell you that your boost is above normal or your fuel rail is operating beyond its spec....with that - say bye bye to your warranty. Toyota has implemented this on thier hilux if there is a problem with turbo or engine or fuel rail. Just because its plug and play does not mean they are stupid biggrin.gif

Not really sabotaj. I got mine off racechip.de for 1k +- ( include shipping for the pro version) and asked you why were you selling it skyhigh. made me think of making a huge bucks if i started to sell it ( and frankly speaking, aint that hard to support it + i got mine refunded on the 12th day by them since i wasnt that happy with gains i got + the service center asked me i tampered with the engine as the boost record was unusual tongue.gif)

anyway on my clarification to people whom have not used this and wanting to shed some light on warranty, just fyi - toyota vw and ford on thier rangers are now hard pressed on cracking down the plug and play boxes. the race chip for diesel plays with the fuel rail pressure and there is a sensor monitoring fuel rail ( if your fuel rail hits beyond safety parameter - its logged in the ECU as an error code). Simple terminology is to get the logs from the car and it will tell you at what kind of you are at + what kind of pressure your rails were operating. Boxes like race chip and dynomite operate same where where they tap into the sensors BUT the ECU is still basing that over the safety parameter ie if your boost is limited to 1.5 bar highest, the moment you hit 1.8-1.9, your engine will throw a check light as it sense something is wrong

Note - if you dont mind about the warranty or disputes that may arise during that period of claims, leave the car alone. If you dont bother - get a proper remap done. The downside i had with my DSG was, with the tuning box in place, my car was confused in slow traffic on which gear to engage. it kept engaging a upshifting and downshifting eraticallly around 50-60kmh. Simple reason - the tuning box basically only 'cheat's the ECU but it does not cheat the TCU hence the car being confused with with the right gearing to apply in normal drive mode
