Knowing that Nikon gives a good noise control in all over their camera (even D3100 is consider good already, could go to  ISO3200) Why would one upgrade to FX if they need reach and forgetting about bokeh?
-care to elaborate what is bokeh kits?

I believe d70s to d3100 is an upgrade in image quality but it is a down grade in camera control, you don't have focusing dedicated button, you don't have the front dial, top lcd, etc etc etc.
in term of image quality and iso handling I think d3100 and d90 is on par that's why I believe it is superior compared to d70s (oh ya.. I am no longer using d3100, so hopefully you didn't find it subjective)

well.. for me you have to justify yourself before actually go for FX.
if you need more reach forget about FX. because nikon's ISO handling for DX line up is also not bad.

the only reason that I could think of for going FX is wide angle. =D
so, if you are wide angle shooter and having enough budget, by all mean go for FX.

Yes. I am totally agree with you bro. Therefore I said, FX is not always a solution and only solution for upgrade.
some people need DX some need FX. if one in need of reach and able to put aside subject isolation FX is not an option.
I am agree if money eventually brings value.
There is a reason why FX is more expensive than DX, in this case d700 is more expensive than d7000.

but again, one should justify where should their money go.
I believe it's not wise to upgrade to FX without considering those options.

Anyway I am a total noob, and I didn't own FX yet.

regarding D3100 vs D2X I can't say much.
I believe IQ wide D3100 wins but control wise D2X pawn D3100 any time. again I never play with D2X yet, so it might be my own opinion only.

Sometimes I felt that, camera will always be camera, what differentiate them are SLR/DSLR gives more control over compact camera or PnS.

when you are framing what matter most still the same, which is composition, perspective and control towards exposure. What differentiate pro and newbie are those three if I recall correctly.
Sometimes those who own PnS even tell more story in their composition and beats my sets hands down.

that makes me feel guilty by having expensive camera (even mine, might not be expensive for your guys PoV).

What do you think? Worth buying? as compared to maybe 681B... the onyl reason I took the 680B is it is shorter when it is kept... about 15cm shorter...compared to 681B.. but only capable of holding 10kg instead of 12kg and has 4 section versus 3 section. Not to mention doesn't stand as high, but I'm only about 178cm.. so inclusive of my ball head I think it should be sufficient for my height.

saturation up you will get colorful color. where you may not have seen with your eye.

yeah agreed.. IMO its the sky colour in the second photo that makes your brain feel uncomfortable with the green..
