If you have a data plan and can use your iphone as personal hotspot, then no need for a 3g ipad. (if i were in singapore i wouldnt even think of getting 3g becuase of the free wi-fi)

If not, and your lifestyle requires that you always get access to the internet using your ipad, then get a 3g ipad.

For me, i use my ipad for reading and surfing (and for a bit of gaming) at home. so no need!

Bro.. that is not memory... that is Flash storage..so depand on your budget.. if you have more budget and a heavy photo, video, music storing on your ipad.. then u should go for higher capacity.. Again, is not memory.. It has nothing to do with speed/performance of your ipad.. all ipad is with 512mb memory only..

I would suggest anyone who is contemplating the same question to go get the 3G version right off the bat.
It will simplify your life a lot. This coming from a guy who used IPAD 1 with MIFI.

The argument for thethering, in theory, is strong - Can use with multiple device, save RM400 for not buying
the 3G version, no need extra internet package. But if you can tether, why do you need ipad? Surf direct
on the fone faster.

In practice, you need to bring along the phone , you have to turn tethering on everytime you want to
surf, you have to wait for the ipad to find the phone and connects to it. A lot of work if I just want to know
todays Toto4d numbers while waiting for the traffic light at 7:52PM on the wifi IPAD.

If you must do it on a ipad 3G lah lets say , you can open up the website , know if you already strike it rich.
return back to your driving , before the light turns green.

Trust me. Its worth the RM400 and a sim package.

Its better to have it and dont need it, than not having it when you need it.

Yes , I totally agree to get 3G version, I got my first iPad last year and it's 32 GB wifi only , after 2 months I sold it off for a 64 GB 3G and never look back since. My current iPad 2 is the same spec too. I have a nexus one and iPhone 4 for tethering but it drain the battery very fast , which my phone will fail be before the day end , so it's a no no for me , not to mention the trouble to keep connecting. There is no need for you to sign up for data package , just use the prepaid broadband sim , only use when needed , quite affordable too.
Also if possible get the largest GB if budget not a problem. Simply because iPad app especially games is getting larger in size.
