There's been a lot of speculation whether The Witcher 2 will be released on consoles. The original game was supposed to receive console ports, but ended up being cancelled. This time however, there's a confirmation that the sequel is indeed being released on the Xbox 360, and while it's not from developer CD Project, the confirmation comes from the ESRB website, which gives ratings to games that have been submitted to be released to the public.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings has been listed on the ESRB website for PC and Xbox 360 platforms. There's still a possibility of a PS3 release as CD Project is sure to make an announcement on the console ports at E3 in a couple of weeks. One thing has been made clear by CD Project is that if there are to be any console ports, they won't be dumbed down, which is great news for console gamers. As soon as we know more, we'll be sure to let you know.
