QUOTE(dkk @ May 24 2011, 12:17 PM) That makes perfect sense to me. People normally write the entire cheque in one go. Name, date, amount, amount, sign. It takes all of 20 seconds. If the cheque looks like it has been altered, or different parts have been filled up by different people, it's a sign of possible fraud. some time need to write the payee name later and didn't bring the same pen & issue cheque without writing name is very common in construction business lar... QUOTE(Bonescythe @ May 24 2011, 12:39 PM) But CIMB ok.. ? From my experience lar CIMB, MBB different hand writing+ different color pen on payee/ amount confirmed no problem, tried that many time .

BEWARE: "Ringgit Malaysia' pre-printed. Just write the amount and ensure "SEN" instead of "CENT" in line with Malaysia currency. I had terrible time with a stubborn sister insisted CENT and SEN are same and acceptable! She explained previous cheques all cleared with the use of CENT. Obviously, in the interest of currency, RINGGIT MALAYSIA pairing with SEN whilst DOLLAR pairing with CENT. 👍 QUOTE(clivengu @ May 23 2011, 05:43 PM) I hardly written any check before & always have a bit of doubt when writing the check. I got a question before I fill up this one... it might sounds simple & stupid but pls just confirm for me.. Example I want to open a check of Rm 3362.94 In Alphabet it is written like this: Three thousand three hundred sixty two ringgit & ninety four cent only. Is this correct? Those in bold are part i have a bit of doubt... Thanks

You bumped a 10 years old topic for this? Doesn’t matter cents or sen. One is in Malay the other is English. Nothing to do with currency
