Depends la. If GTA5 is released for PS3 and XBOX 360, then for sure can run on your laptop. If GTA5 is released for next generation consoles, maybe like this game called Samaritan, then our laptops can't play it. Needs three GTX580 to run it.

Can help you all the way if you want to OC 5650 / 6550.

However, most game is already playable smoothly on default clock IF:

- Disable all Anti-alias
- Disable / minimize shadows (greatly improve FPS)

A safe OC that can gain you a few FPS should be on 650 / 900 setting. Should be quite safe, but should see some improvement especially in heavy graphics.

I mostly play games at default clock speed (550/800), I'd rather spend time tweaking the graphic systems (like disabling AA, shadow, post-proccessing, etc) in the game to make it playable in 1366x768.

Just for Witcher 2, I have to play at 770/1110 OC to get between 30-40 FPS.

For benchmarking, I always like to push to max, using my max stable at 774/1113.
