the one you told me to dl, 197mb.. after installed, the 11.6 driver still prevent me to install...

Prevent how? Do the following to get the Catalyst version:

1. Right click on Desktop
2. Select Graphic Properties
3. Click information, software.

Parse those info here. Will help us to know which version of Catalyst that is already installed.

I can guide you step by step.

i think they installed CCC 1st b4 intel driver.. long time ago i also thought install CCC 1st.. they all din followed correct order!

good, it looks like you have successfully install the latest Acer driver (8.771). the next step is just to install Catalyst 11.6

Just in case, make sure you are 64 bit OS, and you have download this correct Catalyst driver:

http://www2.ati.com/DriVeRs/mobile/11-6_mo..._dd_ccc_ocl.exe

This file is just 86.8Mb.

Double click on that file after download and install Catalyst 11.6. Chose Custom when asked. Make sure you see Catalyst driver in the list. If not, post the screen shot of what you can chose to install.

may be next year. there is no notebook that is as light and as powerful as this 3820tg i m using currently.

assuming it comes with LCD and ps3 can run vmware and stuff, it is still heavier (3.2kg) than my 3820tg (1.8kg)...

yes i am, what i mean is, it used to be a option regarding whether to change gc when unplug and plug in, i hope you got what i mean, hahaha, but it's gone now...

what if you right click on the desktop? Can you see "Configure switchable graphic" ?

can i rephrase your question;

you can switch graphic between High-Performance and Power-Saving right?

but you want it to automatic when you plug and remove AC power?
