QUOTE(lee_what2004 @ Sep 29 2011, 10:09 AM) Hibernation will be slower, since it will need to save 8GB instead of 4GB to the HDD.. with win7 and this notebook, i discover that it's quite smart. everytime i close my lid, it will sleep. but even if i disconnect battery and power, it is OK! it will automatically restore from hybernation when i connect it back...But if sleep, should be no problem.. |

QUOTE(lee_what2004 @ Sep 29 2011, 10:15 AM) I must go to Cyberjaya? using default power plan. it is actually just sleep and not hybernate. so, if the power is still there, i open, restore instantly... but if no more power, then connect back power, it restore from hybernation. You mean the ixora burger at night ? That's because the setting on the power plan ? I usually just left it sleep during transportation.. so, the sleep feature in win7 (may be need hardware support too) actually sleep, but start copying the memory into hybernation file as well.... |

QUOTE(ngkhanmein @ Sep 29 2011, 10:27 AM) if dun1 use just straight turn off lah. so leceh sleep or hibernate for wat? i rarely use battery also. close the lid is so easy! the benefit of sleep is that you can restore windows INSTANTLY when you open your notebook. no need to reboot...advantage of hibernation is that you can save all your current work and restore all of them when u switch it back on. sometimes, you are working with documents, open 100 web pages, writing an email, etc... but u gota go, can just hibernate, and it restore, everything still there... why not? i use sleep a lot... |
