Have you managed to test drive two cars with those gearboxes? They feel very differently smile.gif

How much have you test driven it? Because with the DSG, it doesn't feel like an auto. You need to get used to it, been a lot of complaints about the DSG as well.

Like what sleepwalker mentioned, stop start traffic will bring out the worst in the DSG gearboxes. It isn't as smooth as the CVT gears. Most of the general complaints that also scares a lot of VW owners would be mechanical or eletronic failures of the DSG which can cause sudden jerking or lighting up the error lights on your dash.
