last night i didn't shutdown my laptop and was busy "pirate-ing" and today when i woke up i thought that my laptop has shutdown but when i press the power button, it boot unexpectedly fast and so i went on and check the event viewer/logger and found out

The system has entered sleep at XX.XX.XX PM
reason: system idle

so i assume that it entered sleep because of system idle and not other problem like system overheating and such but i always set my power setting to never sleep no matter its on battery or plugged in and yet why this happens........

Your Power4Gear is on what mode? That might be the issue

its on high performance and i've set it t never sleep no matter on battery or plugged in, yet it happens, but this is the first time since i get this laptop on march

Hmm i got this problem too with my previous N53SN, then i remembered i have to check my Power4Gear..and double check your power settings

anyone know what to bring when go asus service center? (besides the lappy of course)

All rite.. =x seems like I cant get to join N53 club here... sad....

try to call asus service centre to ask?

bring urself, bring ur laptop, bring a list of things to argue..
(ur laptop itzself is the warrenty card.. check the bottom.. got some service tag..-can be use everywhere on earth as long there are a sc=they scan it)
oh, u might not need ur batteries..
but be4 u do all this crap, U MUST REGISTER UR WARRENTY on ASUS WEBSITE>>>

Added on May 31, 2011, 8:04 pmsv n sn diff, is processor, although sv got i7 in new version. gpu 540 vs 550 gt and ram slots dimm sn 4 dimm, sv2 slots.. (new version may hav 4 dimm)
if u wanna w8, juz w8 4 latest N53 seris/n43 seris refresh.. then buy straight.. if not, ur will complain when the new ivy bdrige processor comes out..(dun get it around sept oct nov n dec..cuz jan come out new lappies and the old will be valueless..<u will cry then>)

The new N53SV complete specs are still unknown. But yes, the Core i7 and GT540M is confirmed

if the sandybridge hd3000 put the 310gt nvidia gpu to shame, the new ivy bridge said it could giv 40% more better performance than de sandy wor..
die leh.. processor upgrades used to be 5-10% performance increase.. like this we chase tech can go burn the bank..

well yea, i'll give a thumbs up to Intel for coming up with the HD3000 graphics , really.

But all in all, just be happy with what you have, play and finish the game, i'm sure by then a good 2 years will pass Time to get a new one then.

Dont be like those A-fan, every year 1 new iPhone come out, str8 queue up 6 hours to buy. Or overnight camp.
