hmm... i learn about enviro science and do hell loads of mapping.. even editing the maps in pshop takes all my ram, vram, and needs to scratch disk till 30-60gb.. peak 80 gb once! windows said my hdd running low.. lolx

i guess if u hav more ram then it spreads out... if lesser it restricts..

i think ms config, boot, advance no of proccesor..
or in windows, select processes, then right click affirmaties and u can select 4 cores n 4 threads.
like core0, thread0, core1 n thread1 and so on

tats unless u leave win live mail on, multi messengers, and media players playing then all cores will read around 16%
on work mode i can open 15 tabs on mozilla, 8 tabs on chrome, 5 multi tab pshop scratching all my vram, 50gb hdd. leave 10% free ram, and songs playing with live mail. then u can feel the diffrence between i5 and i7.. no lag but insufficient ram.. temp read 67'c and 40-60% all cores reading<nice and stable, i love it..>

any1know whats this 'setwallpaper.cmd' in the sn?

cannot locate file.. it is listed in msconfig's startup item..keep looking it up cannot find anything about it. but has been there like after i reformat..
search in hidden inventory etc but not there. malwarebytes and other scanners no pickup esp with startup scanners..
itz in c:\programdata\SetWallpaper.cmd
manufacturer unknown.- but most things from asus is unknown. some sites say itz keylogger.. but i doubt sometimes.

Added on May 29, 2011, 7:14 pmcould try going to the asus a series thread ask.. win update fail for sp1 is quite normal.. itz new and still buggy(i installed it 2 times and found my comp running extra slow.., and rolled it back.) IE9 installation problem can be done by direct downloading ie9 to ur comp and install. the update may sometimes fail if ur comp is below a certain level of battery or not plug in or gt usb hdd in the usb port. even mbp's hav the prob with some updates if u dun plug in power source or with pendrives in it.

lol my turn be lab mice. installed it accidentally cuz i press the "special" shutdown button in start. VERY BUGGY.. 2 days using was SLOW.. TABS open slowly, FREEZE very often, etc. 3-4 days later a bit ok after a few more updates coming in.. bearable. i remove by my image backup lolx..

@trace, i think i know y the sonic master or B&O speakers bass not strong.. cuz they say, hear what is ment to be heard.. mean not suppose to pump the bass and treble to levels damm high. aka studio quality. distortion kicks in because we all put bass^

the model a53sv is k53sv juz like the n53sn is x5msn diffrent continent name it differently.. crazy huh..
did u install all the other updates other than the sp1 n ie9? or did u hav some cleanup software than deleted some of ur registry?.. i made 3 difrent win7 64 bit on i7 i5(old) n i3(old) upgrade ardy.. no problem wor.. maybe try asking other i5 sandybridge user upgrade sp1 n ie9.. but cannot be the processor probs.

metal songs sounds somewhat horrible.. esp with voice clarify n surround.. distortion way off the charts.. back to my altec lansing.. btw, did u blast bright lights in the metal grills? i oni c 2 speakers.. tell me if u c more.. i'm pretty sad that they make the sn (sound n power) with 2 3x3cm speakers..

if u wanna w8, juz w8 4 latest N53 seris/n43 seris refresh.. then buy straight.. if not, ur will complain when the new ivy bdrige processor comes out..(dun get it around sept oct nov n dec..cuz jan come out new lappies and the old will be valueless..<u will cry then>)

if the sandybridge hd3000 put the 310gt nvidia gpu to shame, the new ivy bridge said it could giv 40% more better performance than de sandy wor..
die leh.. processor upgrades used to be 5-10% performance increase.. like this we chase tech can go burn the bank..
