Hasil siasatan telah mendapati dagagan tuan iaitu IPAD2 mempunyai elemen atau fungsi 3G, maka kelulusan daripada SIRIM Berhad adalah diperlukan untuk dilepaskan daripada kawalan kastam. Untuk makluman tuan, pihak Kastam Subang telah memberitahu perkara tersebut kepada pihak DHL Courier Service. Sebarang maklumat lanjut, sila berhubung dengan wakil penghantaran tuan. Sebagai tambahan, pihak tuan boleh melayari laman web www.sirim.my untuk mendapatkan keterangan lanjut mengenai kelulusan tersebut.

Diharap penjelasan ini dapat membantu dan memuaskan hati tuan/puan.

Kadar duti/cukai yang dicadangkan adalah sebagai panduan sahaja berdasarkan nama dagangan. Pegawai penaksir mempunyai kuasa untuk menentukan kod tarif yang sesuai dan kadar cukai adalah berdasarkan kadar yang berkuatkuasa semasa pengimportan.

mine got wifi only.. no 3g.. still waiting 7 days for custom clearance.. mad.gif

at least this is good lesson for Apple to be more pro-active

but i think the delay should be expected since the ipads come in bulk, if individual parcel should be faster and better clearance process. No wonder the shipping is free hmm.gif

Order another ipad2 wifi white on 29 April 2011.

Apple customer service call and inform me that the shipment got delay till 31 May 2011.

Make a fuzz about this delay and said is a present gift.
Next day, they call again and apologize with RM150 discount on ipad 2...

Good service from Apple Online Store......

i dont know why ipad got some many delays, before this purchased for my company a mac pro, 27" imac, macbook pro. all have not problem & delivered on time.

Ipad 2 consider a device/model in MY and require to get approval from Sirim.
Usually the process needs to be done prior to import as this will cuase some lead time.

So its Apple problem rather than DHL, DHL is just a courier agent for Apple.
indeed for Apple/MacStudio/Machine and etc to sell Ipad 2 they should have applied for the Sirim approval.
