But we have PrinceJ here, why do you want to go thru all the hassle of getting it from US or Singapore? I mean it is so much closer and payment and warranty wise is so much easier.

I have to blame myself for using a thinner to get rid of so-called "Sticker residue" on the LCD handle. It seems like the thinner peels off the glossy coat and expose the base paint. sad.gif Now, I have to open the LCD frame and put a sticker on it sleep.gif
*
Ouch!!!!! sweat.gif

I normally will use eraser to slowly *erase* the sticker residue, but if still cannot, then I will try to use those zippo lighter fluid, that one guarantee can get rid of the residue, but u may want to try it a bit first, as not so sure on the effect surface, but eraser would be the safest method.

I don't know how fast bank in Brunei process Wire Transfer but I know for bank in Singapore, they process it on the same day is on the same day and the other side will acknowledge the payment the next day or latest 2 days.

I also confirmed that XoticPC confirms the payment quite promptly, my Maybank wire transfer on Tuesday, and they confirmed receipt on the next day .... rclxms.gif

Naah, not rich, just saving some money and finally made up my mind to get it. Hehe. If I'm rich, for sure I'm getting the NP7282 with GTX 485m SLi. Haha.

Damn, that means I have to go to Miri to do Wire Transfer through Maybank then. Maybank offers Wire Transfer right? Brunei's process is kinda slow in everything. blush.gif And I think HSBC/Standard Chartered in Brunei doesn't offer Wire Transfer too.
*
If you are doing wire transfer via Maybank, believe they have certain schedule to do the wire transfer, its not like immediate kind of thing.

Like my case, I made the payment on Friday, but they only did the wire transfer on Tuesday, but they do inform you upfront when are they doing the transfer.

Wow that's a good sign then through Maybank. Haha. How much do they charge for Wire Transfer? and how long do you wait for XoticPC to reply your order?
*
They will convert the USD amount to MYR according to that day's exchange rate, plus with MYR25 for the cable fee, that's all.

However, if you are buying from XoticPC, they will use an intermediate bank for wire transfer, which means your money go like this:

Your Bank (i.e. Maybank) --> Intermediate Bank --> XoticPC's Beneficiary Bank

The intermediate bank *some times* will charge some fee for their service, so it will deduct the service fee directly from the money you transfer, so at the end, XoticPC will receive an amount lesser, i.e. like in my case, it was USD21 short, and I have to use my credit card to make the USD21 balance to XoticPC.

If you know you will have to go thru an intermediate bank, you can either add in some extra amount while doing the wire transfer (USD20~USD30), I doubt they will refund you if you pay extra .... tongue.gif; or you can just wire the exact amount and wait for it to deduct the amount, who knows maybe you are lucky they doesn't charge you for the service fee ler? and if they do, you just top it up later after knowing the balance amount lor, of course this will be slow down your order process, your choice.

And yours is USD 169, so clearly yours is cheaper XD
That's why I don't really recommend XoticPC even though I bought from them. It's still better to get a few quotations before making decision smile.gif

Hi guys~  wave.gif
While surveying for a new laptop, I came across this Sager V3 thread and was quickly attracted to this brand which was unknown to me before. I was amazed by its flexibility for customization and affordability as a high-end gaming laptop, compared to other brands.  In fact, I was so interested to find out more on Sager that I even went back to the V2 thread and spent few days to read from beginning till the end..  the 126 pages...  shocking.gif

I've followed through how some of you guys ordered your Sager, felt your doubt while placing order and waiting for the shipment, struggled through the delay, and shared your excitement when your toys finally arrived..  It's kinda weird that though this is my first post in the thread, I feel that I've know you guys for ages... well, days.. lol..  laugh.gif

I've also gone through those splendid reviews of yours that I'm sure you guys have put a lot of effort into.  I'm now quite certain that I'm gonna join you guys, becoming a member in the brotherhood of Sager.. cheers.gif

I'm eying on a 8150-S1.. now my turn to start off with the tricky part of choosing a reseller..  Wish me luck in getting a good deal!    biggrin.gif

Hi all ... I have this problem here ...

I am using the Sager NP8150-S1 ... just installed Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and all the device drivers.

When I use my Sager to connect via wireless to my router, it does connect to my wireless network but I am not able to surf the net.

My other notebook and wireless devices can connect to the same wireless network and have no problem surfing.

My Sager, if connect to the same router via cable, then no problem.

My Sager, if I type the ip address of certain website instead of hostname, it is able to go to that site, so I am suspecting something is not right with my DNS.

I am wondering, if I am using Windows 7 .. do I need to specifically define my DNS? Coz my other devices (notebook, smart phone) all I dun have to define any DNS and still able to connect to the wireless and surf the net.

Many thanks.

Oh yeah .. to add on .. I did not install anything except for Firefox and I never change any of the default setting after the Windows 7 installation.

I tried using IE and FireFox .. both doesn't work when I am using my Sager with wireless connection.

It sounds like DNS problem which cannot redirect you using the site name.

Yeah ... I am suspecting that as well ... does anyone know does Windows 7 needs manual configuration of the DNS and why is my [ Obtain DNS server address automatically ] not working, any idea?
