I haven't try to peel the sticker out. biggrin.gif It won't effect the touchpad sensitivity if sticks on it.

I already install and perform benchmark of Dirt 3 in my laptop (using 16:10 22" external monitor)

Settings - High
average min_fps="45.287449" av_fps="53.465855"
resolution width="1680" height="1050"
aspect="auto"
fullscreen="true"
vsync="0"
multisampling="4xmsaa"

Settings - Ultra
average min_fps="18.837097" av_fps="21.628458"
resolution width="1680" height="1050"
aspect="auto"
fullscreen="true"
vsync="0"
multisampling="8xqcsaa"

GTX460m already struggle at ultra setting 1680x1050. If use 1920x1080, surely the fps drops even more laugh.gif

carbonytte is right.. If vsync ON, FRAPS will display 60fps fixed throughout the game. Turn it OFF, FRAPS will display the correct fps, but you will experience a screen tearing. smile.gif

Average 56++ fps with vsync off and fan at full speed.

before you apply the sticker, make sure you use a3 paper, sketch the measurement and then cuts the sticker. That's my way to apply the sticker. biggrin.gif

@jimmykvt
I took out the keyboard from the unit and clean it using cyberclean or blow the dust off.

@mcbarney666
List updated. smile.gif
You can apply a carbon fiber sticker on the palm rest, like I did on my model biggrin.gif

@rickysim84
The power brick is slightly bigger than NP8150 biggrin.gif

@kailoonthedog

NP7280 (renamed to NP7282) can add two GPU (Crossfire/SLi mode) and 3x primary 2.5" hard drive (normal or RAID mode). If still not enough, can get rid of optical drive and install hard drive on caddy case to be put on optical drive slot.

Just unscrew a couple of screws can access everything at the bottom smile.gif

@kpchoo29
Depends on your preferences. If the current spec able to handle future games in moderate quality and can serve for many years, it's good enough.

@rickysim84
Probably because of the laptop design itself, or the user didn't do any maintenance for a very long time (getting rid of dust, etc)
