@tjinn
Take note that mucro/cubehub singapore doesn't offer taking out the ram to make the unit cheaper since it's fixed policy.

If you worry about warranty and less knowledge in maintaining the laptop hardwares, go for mucro/cubehub.

np8150 and np8130 only have one Hard Drive and one GPU , is it mean there's empty hard drive and GPU slot in it , or it only contain one hard drive and one GPU slot??
*
NP8130, N8150 have fixed one hard drive and one GPU, only NP8150 can change it's GPU to higher model (eg. GTX460m to GTX485m)

If need to add extra hard drive, you have to sacrifice your optical drive. Buy caddy case, put new hard drive on it and slot into the optical drive slot.

thanks for the info. just another thing .. how long is the usual waiting time when ordering from the us? and if wanna send back for warranty normally use dhl or pos malaysia? thanks in advance.
*
I order from RJTECH. com and it takes less than two weeks (process - 1 week, shipping to malaysia - less than 7 days), using USPS Express Mail International which will be handled by Poslaju once entering Malaysia.

You can use DHL or Poslaju EMS if want to send the laptop parts for RMA.

My experience 3 years before, pos laju didn't provide tracking number for USPS parcel. And when they send the parcel over my house, I was not around, and they just drop the parcel on the top of my gate, can you imagine how dangerous it is?
*
I have to correct you on that part.

You still can track the package in poslaju tracking website using USPS tracking number.

I almost forgot already. That time I purchased item from ebay, the seller said he used USPS mail, so I dunno which USPS he was using.
*
there are many types of USPS service. Ebay seller usually use standard USPS First-Mail International (insured or uninsured) without tracking number. Probably your seller 3 years ago use these type of USPS service smile.gif

Bottom panel or underneath the keyboard? AFAIK, all NP7280 ram slots only located at the bottom.

@petpet007

I buy 500GB at local stock and spit main partition to 160gb. others for storage. the main partition enough to add photoshop/office/other programs and some heavy games like battlefield/dirt3/crysis2/team fortress 2

I bought np8150 without hard drive, ram and optical drive (replace with hard drive caddy case) from RJTECH.com and only cost me USD 126 for shipping to malaysia

You can buy aftermarket ram, hard drive and external dvd drive at garage sales which is cheaper compared to the one that reseller offers. smile.gif

I bought ram and hard drive locally which saves me almost USD 100 biggrin.gif

So it's simply the cost of the laptop itself + shipping? No other hidden costs? Sounds great! smile.gif
