I know but ill wait on it, maybe there will be a glassless 3d screen and the 3d screen goes cheap . I thought of getting the GTX 580 but its only a 10% difference. So i better be off with GTX485m.

I mean offshore larrr .. using satelite internet.

I know a lot of review say you will get headache after a while.. which is true since i did try 3d TV .. and my eye can see the shuttering happen in the glass .. really pening a bit since it is shuttering 60fps each eyeballs.

Dunno.. i bought from illegear. I work at sea so i really need fast service in case anything happen to the lappy. I only have a few days on land so i rather take where its easy for me to look for help and follow up, sending lappy wayyy to US is just too troublesome for me. Cost a bit more, but at least i could relax if anything happen. Your situation might differ from mine.

Meaning i dont need to worry when i rape the keyboard.

I tested my Sager Np8170 and its GREATT in gaming Crysis 2 on HARDCORE setting really amazing! Smooth gaming !!

But in the other hand, the Sound System is whats concern me.. is it that good? Tested the sound, it can go loud and THX sound enable/disable, i can hear the difference but still not that great. Its like no Ommphhh in the sound the sub-woffer is not that woffing. I can hear the crystal clear sound adjustment by THX pro studio but sound is still not that good.
I wonder is it my hearing cause my first lappy is Acer 6935G with Tuba subwoffer by Dolby Digital and it sound great and my home desktop i use Sound Blaster X-Fi card and this sound damn great. Then THX, sound so ummm no great. Even i use my headphone with gold coat jack, it still doesn't sound that good.
Should i get a sound blaster X-Fi Go for lappy?

Woottt !! the NP8170 is very good for gaming. Already finish a few game using high setting. But me thinks me need more cooling as the GPU vent so much hot air. Have to make the fan blow at 100% speed during gaming.
Anyways, gaming on 17" Screen and with GTX 485m is really like playing on a desktop .. a HIGH END desktop.

Cant wait for Battlefield 3.

Yes indeed. Still consider as High-end for Laptop that is. Saw the great NP8180 with 18" and 560m SLi, great Sager top of the line laptop. But me thinks it uses 2 adapter since draw power is freaking high.

Seems fine to me. I know it vent hot air but i can compensate with increase the fan speed or using laptop cooling pad or both .. 2x the cooling. NP8170 user as well.

Im finishing all the heavy graphics game. And i love it. Maybe ill replace the lappy another 2 years to come or until it cant play the latest game anymore.

I will get a new GC for laptop... when the difference is 50% from my current GC .. GTX485M !!

Anyone have an idea how much do Sager matte screen cost for NP8170 ? I think i want to change it.

Prince J, Do you sell GTX580m GPU only and also 17 inch matte screen ?
Thinking of getting spare parts for my np8170.
I still do want to keep my gtx485m since it is still running with no problem all this time. And the screen, i want to try out the matte screen since glossy screen give out too much light in my eyes..more like flashbanged .. =.= "

Well its time to switch to GTX 680m, that is if it's compatable with NP8170.. From the specs , it draws the same power as GTX580m. I guess the slot should be the same. Compatable ?

Is the GTX680m out already or not ??
