Hi everyone...

Any 6970M owner have 3D clock issue?

Like while I play games with the flash on browser, it only stays at 300Mhz for the core clock...

Sometimes when even there's no flash on browser, it only stays at 100Mhz...

I'm using 11.5b...

I didn't play any flash-based browser game. :[
So far only played Mass Effect, Dragon Age:Origins, Dragon Age 2.
*
What I meant is while I play games (such as Mafia 2), if my chrome browser is viewing a video(flash), then the issue appear... clock maintain at 300 instead of 680...

QUOTE(fJok3R @ Jun 6 2011, 01:00 PM)
greeting all,

can i have some clarification on following matter,

from 1st post, the only different between np8130 and np8150 is
black vs greyish finish and power adapter only right?
as other spec is customizable

and what is  the difference between np8130 and np8130-s1?
*
S1 is for a better spec price package...
Means if you configure the non-S1 spec to be exactly like the S1, it will cost you abit more than just purchasing an S1...

I've cancelled my order with XoticPC cause their shipping is wayyy overcharged. Furthermore there's no GT780R in XoticPC's stock. I was charged USD520 for each laptop. So that costs around USD1k+ for both laptops. sweat.gif But I've made my order with GentechPC already and made the transfer just now. So I'm waiting for them to receive the funds now, should be early next week.

Still, I ordered the same specs for my Sager NP8170 icon_idea.gif

So, the waiting game starts now cool2.gif

If I were you, I would hold the order...

GTX 580M might appear around 2-3 weeks time... nod.gif

Thanks for reaffirming my choice~  biggrin.gif

Would you still recommend buying from Mucro, after what you have been through?  I mean the RMA thingy..
*
If you live in Malaysia, I think you can check with Prince J as well, since he is from local.
As for the price, I'm not sure whether Prince J can offer better price than Mucro or not.

The procedure of buying and getting the laptop from Mucro is quite smooth, I received the laptop in quite short period of time.
As for the hardware faulty, I cannot blame Mucro coz it doesn't come from them originally.

The RMA process sucks due to the shipping fee. Both Sager and Mucro doesn't want to bare the shipping fee direct from US to Malaysia.
It also sucks when you want to ship it to Mucro and also when Mucro want to ship it back to Malaysia. Mucro will only accept the most cheapest courier service available, which will takes 2 weeks minimum.
So, imagine that your laptop actually stays at the Post office for 4 weeks(2weeks to singapore + 2 weeks back from singapore) minimum doing nothing at all! doh.gif

UNLESS if you don't mind to use your own money to send it back to them or to receive back from them using DHL which cost me RM227 per one way.

I'm not sure how Prince J handle the RMA process, maybe you can check with him. smile.gif

QUOTE(Prince J @ Jun 16 2011, 11:43 AM)
Mind to share, did you purchase their labor warranty? You pay for the shipping fee from Singapore to US and US to Singapore on your own?

Yes you got the point already, Sager will never refund for global shipping fee EVEN IF THE LAPTOP YOU RECEIVE IS FAULTY. It seems quite unreasonable. However, there is a trade off between what you pay and what you get. You can also order Alienware from Dell, pay extra fees for better warranty and exterior design.

The reseller you mentioned, they actually earn very little on Sager laptop import business if you only purchase the laptop, but not their labor warranty, their margin is very very slim, even below normal 2k to 3k laptop dealers' margin like Acer, Toshiba etc. If you think this way, I think you should be able to understand why they insist to send the parcel via POS MALAYSIA (normal parcel, not pos laju) to you, if not they will incur losses.

We have realized the inefficiency and riskiness of Pos Laju, the insurance service offered by their company only covers for parcel missing, I wonder what's the purpose to purchase their insurance, even if there is car accident causes your laptop broken or whatever, you are unable to claim. Every time we walk in to Pos Laju for sending the parcel, the officer seems like very reluctant to accept the laptop delivery business even if we purchase insurance. They even told me some stories like whose whose parcels are missing and broken, then suggest me not to send laptops via Pos Laju.

Just telling the truth, I got nothing with Pos Malaysia and Pos Laju.

Now we have tied up with UPS/Airpak high value item delivery team for Malaysia ground shipping. Every parcel will be handled with 100% insurance, and we won't increase our shipping charges. Since our average sale per unit is above RM6000, we cannot accept any risk associated with the delivery.

As I told you before, it isn't that we are unable to compete our prices with the reseller you mentioned. We can set the same price as them also. What we need to do is to charge expensive shipping and handling fees, payment handling fees, and offer services like Pos Malaysia shipping, end up with 1 month goods delivery. We are not interested to enter into price war, cut prices crazily to gain sales.

We engage in KL and Johor (JB, Kluang) and Singapore. If laptop fails to operate, buyer can pass the product to us in these areas, no need to send your laptop via any courier service provider. If buyers are not in these areas, they have to send the laptop or parts to our office on their own. All the costs (except Sager repairing process, which is covered under Sager warranty) during warranty period are covered under our carry-in warranty, if users didn't buy our carry-in warranty, we also offer cheap transportation services for users to claim warranty using our company shipping account. More specific info please pm or call me directly.
*
Yes, I did purchase their labor warranty.

Like I said, I actually don't have to pay any shipping fee from Malaysia to Singapore, from Singapore to US, and back from US to Singapore and to Malaysia.
The delivery from Singapore to US and back fro US to Singapore took them couple of days only coz they have agreement with DHL.
The only issue is the shipping to and from Singapore, coz they will use the cheapest possible courier which is POS Malaysia (not POS laju).
I do agree with you regarding the POS Malaysia advice there, they also very reluctant to send my Laptop to Singapore last time, they said it's very risky.

Since you are from local, that's why I suggest our friend here to check with you, so that he can skip the worrying part of sending back the laptop to the reseller before it is sent back to US. smile.gif

Can you share with us how much is your NP8150-S1 including shipping fee, if you don't mind?
Mine is RM5,930.71

Thanks

I'm still in a dilemma as of which reseller to choose.

I've done the calculation, with the customization I add on to the NP8150-S1, the final price after factoring in the discount, shipping, payment charges, 2 years of warranty, is as per below:

Lpc-digital : RM6102.4
Mucro       : RM6610.5
Illegear    : RM7180.9

Illegear offers total peace of mind, with the premium of RM1.1k.
Lpc-digital offers the best price, but if worst come to worst, a RMA, even with the cheapest service available (Poslaju + USPS), is estimated to cost around RM800.
Buying from Mucro, you get something in between..

How would you choose??       rclxub.gif
*
Why RM6610.50 for Mucro? what else did u add other than the 2 years warranty?

As for LPC-Digital, whats the shipping price u get?

Yeah, 6970M inventory is extremely low, Sager uses for current order only and have no plan to restock it. GTX485m will become the only high end card of Sager system now.
*
So, later no more cheaper solution other than the 560M?

Lucky me and lucky 6970M users then... biggrin.gif

Are we? tongue.gif

Yes, we are able to bring in only GPU, CPU, Barebones, WIFI Card. We also sell Sager battery, adapter, hdd, ssd and ram, but I think you all are not interested to these parts. The only part we don't sell is screen. We don't list out in our website as individual parts price is not so attractive,  buy a complete system is always cheaper than you assembly on your own.
*
Better to have than not having the options at all.

Will definitely keep this in mind, especially If I want to and can upgrade the GPU next year. brows.gif

I have just extended Mucro and Sager warranty to 2 years.

It kinda worries me if bad things do happen just after the 1 year warranty period is over. sweat.gif

Didn't know the warranty can be extended after purchase.  Does it cost the same whether you add the extra year during your purchase or only extend it later on?
*
By right it can be extended, but not sure within certain range during the date of purchase or no range at all.
From what I read from somewhere, as long as it is within 90 days of purchase, you can still extend the warranty. Not sure whether it's true or not.

Mine bought around early April this year...

Price are about the same as when you customize the laptop, just that I have to add another RM26 for admin fee of their extra work in updating our invoice...

Suddenly I just don't trust that 1 year is enough... tongue.gif
