I want to buy my second Laptop and it think Sager NP8130 is quite fine. I may have to import it from US. anyone here have experience in dealing with custom?is there a custom fee? also, how secure the laptop is during shipping? any chance it will be dissapear during transit? if it happen, will Sager sent me another one?
You can use USPS ExpressMail International. As the seller to add insurance. There would be zero charges on import duty for laptop once reaching Malaysia, and it will send to your house via PosLaju.
Normally it takes about less than a week to reach Malaysia. (after the package is shipped out) The whole process (payment, building, shipping) takes about 2-3 weeks.

hey guys.
need some input for these questions here :
1) does the bigfoot network killer wifi adapter support bluetooth as well?
2) how much performance gain could i get going from the stock ori wifi+bluetooth adapter to bigfoot network killer.
i'm thinking of doing some minor upgrade to my laptop. now i'm in US so should be quite easy to get the stuff, especially on amazon
1. Choose bigfoot = sacrifice bluetooth capabilities. Means bigfoot doesn't have bluetooth build-in like Intel/clevo wireless+bluetooth combo 2. You can see a noticeable improvements on bigfoot if you use unifi-equivalent internet access with good wireless-n router+modem.
thanks TS. what about changing to Intel's then. I see the price isn't that hefty, so what's the difference changing from original to Intel's?
I can't comment about that part since I upgrade to intel upon laptop purchase. But the performance depends on what kind of router + internet you're using

guys , any idea ?
my np8130 reaches 80c on cpu and mobo when gaming...
gpu reaches 75c.
oh my!
Mine didnt use cooler but the temp is about 80'c under normal room temperature (using table fan) It's a normal temp for dedicated GC when gaming.
If your laptop temp reach 95'c and above, there's something wrong on the ventilation fan and need to be cleaned.
Seems so quiet here. BTW anyone test their sager with the Battlefield 3 beta? And if anyone with 6990m post their result? I'm still waiting for my NP8150(might arrive next week).
Sager NP8170
Not sure about other models though (including mine) I lazy to download and prefer to play in full version.
Unscrew is unscrewing the backplate with the GPU and CPU? I know the main HDD bay is the small compartment in the middle. And also if I install a ssd what should i do before doing so?
at the bottom, unscrew the cover that place the primary hard drive. Find a screw (in white circle) and unscrew it. That screw holds the caddy case
Install SSD in primary hard drive slot and install standard hard drive in caddy case

Hi all, I seem to have problem with my WLAN card.(ordered an Intel 6230 advanced wireless) I can't get Intel software to detect the card. Maybe can let me know where the card slot is? I think maybe the card not assemble properly.
press Fn + F11 to turn on the wireless, and press fn + F12 to turn on bluetooth to let your laptop to detect both device. Then, you can install straight away.
