You're conscious and can see the entire process when they peel the top layers off your eye and after lasering your eyeballs, they'll stitch it back...

Welcome to AfterLasik.com  Are you an ex-LASIK or a post LASIK (or other eye surgeries like PRK, epi-LASIK, LASEK etc) patient? Are you planning to do a LASIK surgery? Whoever you are and whatever the reason it is, thank you very much for visiting AfterLasik.com and welcome! Please read on.  First of all, let me tell you the reasons why this website is created. I am an ex-lasik patient from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. And of course, I'm a post LASIK patient, an unlucky one indeed. Reason? Because I'm suffering from LASIK complications like haloes, glare, starbursts, double visions, and dry eyes (Click here to read My Story and My Diary).  Don't get me wrong, I'm not here to scare you or anything, one of the reasons for me to create this site is to share my personal experience and also to inform the people out there about the possible risks, dangers and expectations after LASIK surgeries or any other kind of refractive eye surgeries. I believe that there are millions of people who underwent LASIK surgeries find LASIK is a miracle. Yes, it might be true. But for some, it's definately a disaster!  With this site, I hope to gather and share more information on the latest breakthroughs on the refractive eye surgeries, eye care methods, orthokeratology, RGP lenses, supplements, eye drops, ..etc and the list goes on...in short, everything about improving vision or eyesight.  Eversince I've done my LASIK surgery back in 2001, I've been searching around looking for cure, seeking for help. Internet is the best tool for me in searching for information and communicating with other post LASIK patients and also doctors. There are some very good websites where ex-LASIK patients can share their problems and seek for help like www.lasermyeye.org and www.asklasikdocs.com . While most of the patients and doctors that I've met online are from the US, Canada and UK, it is very hard for me to meet them personally. That's why, I've decided to build my own site hoping to gather more ex-LASIK patients, doctors, and optometrists from Asia countries on this website, AfterLasik.com. If you happen to be from Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Japan, China, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Taiwan, The Philippines, Vietnam, Australia or anywhere nearby, I welcome you to join our new forums section [forum section has been closed due spam], feel free share your experience with us. Your support is very much appreciated!

I stopped trusting Optometrist ever since they keep increasing my eye power every year.
