Also the link you gave earlier was really handy! According to the TSB, there are actually pads that VW need to also put into the pillars to prevent the wind noise. Anyone you know actually manage to get VW to add in those additional pads to reduce the wind noise?

dont bother...u need to screw it in. It will flop around and rattle no matter ho much tape u put. After 6 months, dirt and grime will stick to the tape and it will lose its stickiness, then u will need to rip out and screw anyway

well, it helps that the wifey has a focus hatch, so thats the normal weekend car. My reasoning is this... when i was 20s..cannot afford 2 doors, now im 30s with kids....enjoy 2 door lor...otherwise..when u ever going to drive 2 door? when u are 60 and grandad? by then..if my parents still around they will be 90...sure cannot climb into 2 door...so will have to have a 4 door

4 door car like GTI is 100% confirmed easier and more convenient, but its up to you wheter u are willing to sacrifice some convenience to add some zing in your life  im just saying that i fetch my baby & maid every morning to my in laws in my roc, sure..some times i curse and wish i had 4 door car...but end of the day, still glad i went with 2 doors....i will get a sedan when im early 40s and no longer cool enuff for a 2 door
