Thanks for the info as well k3v! Is it easy to get this Gummi thing? I googled it and it returned a lot of overseas sites. Planning to join u all this Wednesday TT to learn more from the sifus as well biggrin.gif Can pinjam some of the gummi to try it out?

Also the link you gave earlier was really handy! According to the TSB, there are actually pads that VW need to also put into the pillars to prevent the wind noise. Anyone you know actually manage to get VW to add in those additional pads to reduce the wind noise?
*
i think we need to get the local VW SCs here to acknowledge the problem first and fix it without any cost to us

thanks for the Gummi tumpang offer too k3V smile.gif

Eh i thought they say door adjustment? I had mine done at SC before... first service....
*
which SC you went to bro? did that door adjustment do the trick for you or the fix specified in the TSB?

We installed a UB today on a scirocco, the car is only 1 year old, check out how corroded the stock bars are.....probably within another 6 months it would have corroded tru.

I like to bring my car to Waxson at Aman Suria for a wash, they do a good job starting from RM17 for a car wash. Introduced bro mavric there as well biggrin.gif
*
check out www.waxson.com if you need more info. or call the boss there Sam. nice friendly chap. PM me for the number if you want it. they use meguiars stuff there and other services that they do include glass coating, windscreen coating, rim coating. they also sell coil mats. i got them to custom cut a coil mat to fit my boot smile.gif

i think if you already done some coating on your paintwork, be it SG or PPS or whatever, then a regular wash there should be sufficient to keep your Fast spanking clean

that day I went...they were washing a Lamborghini..and another I went they were detailing a porsche..coating the rims after that...

thanks Mavik for the intro hehe

dont bother...u need to screw it in. It will flop around and rattle no matter ho much tape u put. After 6 months, dirt and grime will stick to the tape and it will lose its stickiness, then u will need to rip out and screw anyway

u want to stick on...so later can resell rite? damn penang kiamsiap lou  biggrin.gif

yes i can confirm u cannot tint the black dots on the front windscreen...
will become white spots later on.. it happened to me b4..
i did my v-kool at tintshop.. and i had mine redone 5 times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

about the front mirror im not sure.. it depends how u want it to be.. cause he ask me how i want mine to be done..

mine is GTI im not sure if its same with polo
*
mine's crystalline too. no tint at the dots. the top part of the windscreen also left untinted. i'm fine with it. i'm able to use smart tag with crystalline...just need to slow down a lot more before it can be detected.

QUOTE(jwrx @ Jun 6 2011, 10:16 AM)
well, it helps that the wifey has a focus hatch, so thats the normal weekend car. My reasoning is this... when i was 20s..cannot afford 2 doors, now im 30s with kids....enjoy 2 door lor...otherwise..when u ever going to drive 2 door? when u are 60 and grandad? by then..if my parents still around they will be 90...sure cannot climb into 2 door...so will have to have a 4 door

4 door car like GTI is 100% confirmed easier and more convenient, but its up to you wheter u are willing to sacrifice some convenience to add some zing in your life  biggrin.gif im just saying that i fetch my baby & maid every morning to my in laws in my roc, sure..some times i curse and wish i had 4 door car...but end of the day, still glad i went with 2 doors....i will get a sedan when im early 40s and no longer cool enuff for a 2 door cool2.gif
*
how can you ever be not cool enough. u should rephrase that..you'll only get a sedan when you're too cool for a 2 door.
