Aiyokkk...i'm booking 6 speed too..( still in dilemma to pick the right color...white..black or bright silver...)

I think that's a one off issue. Nothing comes out perfect everytime anyways. When I took my 6 SPeed Forte also I ended up with some issues and I had to slowly sort them out but some owners had no issues at all and they were happy happy driving their car around. So do your bid as a customer, when you pick up your car, do your own checking first and make sure everything is in place, that is why we have Warranty to cover all the issues. Make sure you bring it up to your SA as well as a feedback so they are aware of such issues, hopefully some improvement can be done. I have noticed NAZA KIA service center improving so that seems to be a good sign.

^ I've asked a service center about such problem, they say they can do something about it though.. (tighten some screws, add in something etc etc) Did you bring it up to the SC?

Hmm.. I tried that before and I was not going that fast below 100kmph (At Sunway, how fast can you go? lol). No issues shifting to 6th gear though. Let me try that again at low speed using gear knob, I'll update you here later.

Probably u should bring back to service center to check and c. Were u able to change at 80-100kmph?

it has nothing to do with engine since its on the dashboard..the full range 1.6ex,1.6sx and 2.0sx also face this issue off and on, usually when car is parked under the sun for extended period of time (3-5 hours).
*
Wow, didn't know that. Mine did not have that issue even though I park my car under the sun everyday over 6 hours. Guess I'm lucky biggrin.gif though not so lucky for me as I still have the sound when I go above 90kmph.. Probably gonna try to solve it during my 10k service. Hopefully Naza is more "experience" with 6 speed ones now lol..

i hv tested and mine is able to shift to 6th gear as long as the speed is over 70...
btw.. found that my car seem like hv alignment problem, car tend to move to left side..
i read MFC, and seem like this is a common issue.. how come it's still not fixed after all this while?
anyone with new car facing same issue too?
*
Alignment problem is very common for Forte, you can just send in during your 1k service and ask them to fix it for you for free. They did it for me, though they had to send the car to the alignment adjustment place 4 times just to get it right. brows.gif brows.gif

Even Peugeot seems to be a common problem on Alignment so it's not a big deal.. can be solved easily. smile.gif

i got 1k from kia fadason near bandar perda... if u wan, i can recommend u my SA..
for me, the ride is ok and it's not really comfort due to the 17" and low profile tyre..
seat is still ok for me.. juz that i m still nt use to the narrower vision of the rear view..
*
When they are done with your car you can test drive to see if you are happy with it or not. Though the service center that I went to gave me 7 days warranty so I can bring back if I still have my alignment problem, not sure about other service center though..

Yeah, I know we have another sport rim. The reason I'm asking is because I want the idiot driver to pay for my damages so wanna know roughly how much it's gonna cost so gonna claim it from him.

^ it'll be good if u can tell us where are u from then we can narrow down your options. And yes those outside resellers offer better promos than naza themselves with freebies or packages (tint vouchers, etc) do a search using naza website and those that does not have @naza.com.my emails are not under naza (usually lar)

I think at the main page there's a price list showing all the servicing + parts pricing.

@CSin

When I said main page, I was referring to the first page of this thread, there's a chart stating clearly all the rates..

If you don't mind traveling down to serdang, I can recommend a good seller to you. PM me if you want more details.

any good branch or branch to avoid, at or nearby or nearest to setapak?

can anyone share the procedures and tips if i want to trade in my current car?
if i trade in but the car not yet sold, i still pay for the installment?
heard a lot of no change name in geran, accident, etc issue.
*
No idea about the Setapak branch... But i can help on the procedures.

1. If you are trading in your current car, do some survey and ask around those second hand car dealer shops how much your car is worth and compare it to the price that you are offered when you trade in your car when you order your Forte. You can sell them outside as we do not get much discount/offers when we trade in (not like Proton where they can offer you very good price for trade in)

2. When you sell your car, your car is sold at a specific value - Eg: 15K. The dealer that purchase your car will pay you that 15K sum and you need to clear all remaining balance with the bank if you still have your installment running. It's up to you to manage between the bank, yourself and the dealer how you want to settle it.

3. If you haven't clear your loan, your car card (or the card that says who's the owner, some calls it Geran, etc) is still with the bank, and dealers will need that. Just go to a Kia Branch/dealer and ask them how the procedure works as it might vary from one to another depending on how they do the trade in.

4. And don't forget about your insurance too... There's the NCD (No Claim Discount) from your existing car, remember to transfer to your new car too and get the refunds.

hope this helps. smile.gif

1. is it safer if i trade in with Naza dealer?

2. if mine settle it better right? last time i bought saga blm, interest is 3.88%! current i see is around 2.6% - 3.0%.

3. i still got loan from bank for about 17k or so. just hope when sell, dealer will change the name/etc at geran, i dont hope shits happen on me.

4. yes thanks smile.gif
*
1. As long as they exist here on this website, you are safe coz they are authorized Dealer/resellers.

http://www.nazakia.com.my/support/sales-se...entres-location

2. Don't compare interest for local cars with oversea cars, Proton is always higher.

3. If that's the case you can trade in your car and ask the dealer to settle the procedures (there will be surely some bank documents to sign etc etc). Like I said, you need to discuss with your sales agent and see how willing they are to help you. smile.gif During the transition phase (trade in already n waiting for your new Forte) you don't have a choice but to drive carefully.. For me I basically drove like a turtle and was extremely careful. lol....

for everyone's info, i've been searching high and low on the internet for the new Naza 3S Service Centre in Glenmarie phone number..i finally found it. This is FYI - its 03-5567 0023. Location is: Lot 24, Jalan Juruhebah U1/50, Temasya Industry Park, 40150, Glenmarie, Shah Alam.

This is NOT the same one as NSS also in Glenmarie Jalan Pendidik. Please take note. Thanks. Has anyone serviced either side before? Which one have you serviced and is it good? I heard glenmarie SC is good but i'm now wondering is it the new 3s good or is it NSS. Do let me know guys as my service is next week thursday. I've double booked them both and will cancel either one once i get the info from you guys. THanks!

I went to the Kota Damansara branch for servicing instead as it was recommended by fellow Kia Forte owners, and yes they are very good and efficient.

@Lanchio

I have the same problem as well for my 6-Speed forte. It started happening after my 10k service, before that it was all good. I feel it more during traffic jam, when I pick up lightly then decelerate, I feel pretty jerky and it's not really a problem, but annoys me once a while.
