CoD is now the Activision's Tony Hawk of the 2010s. remember last time every year also got Tony Hawk wat. after Activision runs its course with CoD maybe they will start milking that new Bungie game for some strange reason I'm sorta intrigue to buy MW3 just for continuing the adventures of Capt. Price and Sgt. Soap. at least the CoD gets.. marginally better every year. ...unlike the SmackdownvsRaw series... |

Lol, it is going to be BF3 vs. MW3. Should be interesting as Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software continues the "unfinished work" of Infinite Ward.
They are aiming for a bug-free game and over 95% (!!!) on Metacritic. Ambitious. Just have to wait and see. I'm more interested in the plot after the cliffhanger of MW2. There will be no campaign coop but there is 2 player coop in Spec Ops.
I believe the multiplayer will still be the better part of the game to play with your friends. |

Got a weird 'disc unreadable' error in the middle of the mission. Such an error never happened since having a 360. Installing game to console now.
Probably recommended to install? I have been playing it a ton today so maybe that's why but with a quick Google search can see it randomly happens to some people too. Finished the campaign on regular but felt it was a little easy? Never felt too pressed like in MW2 for example the lovely favela missions. Maybe will be different on the veteran playthrough. |

eh sorry, it's CVI check.
basically it check for the disc quality, MS deduce that pirate copy disc quality is much lower than pressed disc (original disc) hence this check, once the console assume the disc quality is not up to standard, it will stop playing the disc and flag you for ban, as what happen with Forza 4. but the problem that MS didn't anticipate is badly pressed disc, scratches disc, and dying dvd lens will also give results of not up to standard disc quality. Forza 4 have this CVI check and MS banned many Europe consoles because the PAL disc is badly pressed but the console is assuming it's a pirate copy. MS have since unban most of it. but we won't know if MS decide to continue with this CVI check. |

Hello guys...
I can only find a match with people here in my country. only 4-10 matches on peak times but off peak there would be no matches. People here are able to search for MW2 or BO just fine. Less than a minute we would be able to find matches but with MW3 we are only limited to searching for matches within our country. I have an open NAT, but in spite of this whenever I try to look for games in any of the modes of MW3, it always tells me that there are "no games found". This is the same message that appears no matter how long I wait for a game. The only time I can join a game is if one of my friend either invites me to join, or if I join a game already in progress. But this is very frustrating for me because I want to play Domination, but none of my friends play this particular game mode!  Hope Activision will FIX this issue ASAP! OMG, I can't believe lot of people having fun with this game.
Positive - Good navigation menu, lot more responsive and fluid compare to battlefield. I always curse when in Battlefield navigation menu. - Can I say it has catchy graphic? just because it shows lot more warfare gadget and great cut scene. The graphic quality as overall is comparable for both. Negative (To the point it turn me off, totally!) - The control is a TOTAL EMBARRASSING when to think that people still want to compare it with Battlefield. It has a really arcade style game play. I complained that Battlefield has a very bad campaign but with this crappy control, I can't even pass half and hour play the campaign, no matter how good the story is. It's just not enjoying. - Bad matchmaking system. Having hard time to find a game. But with battlefield, it's just a second and you're in game. I'm no fanboy for any of the franchise as both are my first experience with warfare games. Definitely one of my regret purchase. |

Done with 2nd playthru for veteran, def. easier should have played straight from start. Up for finishing up spec ops and survival, so msg me if have a group setup. Did spec ops with 1coward over the weekend but have about 5 left to try to 3 star.
Tomorrow onwards will be busy with assassin's creed. |

Other than that, it is almost utterly impossible to find a game. Had never connected to a US game before. I got a feeling that it is easier to find a game in Black Ops on any mode than MW3. |

Why you guys want to play with with different region that is far from Malaysia?
Have you guys heard about a thing call lag? Theres a reason why they doing that. If im not playing with my friends, I usually connected to France and UAE. The reason I can join because my connection at that time have no issue with them. If you still complaining, you have the option to play other games. Sometimes it is unimaginable that i cant connect to japanese or OZ games. I do not mind a little lag if i can find a game immediately rather than wasting time in the lobby searching for a game.
They did fine in BO, why cant they just do the same thing. I dont find a reason why they are limiting connectivity; suggest a lag-free improvement to multiplayer experience?! |

All I know is that, I'd rather be playing different modes... and not TDM 24/7... Kill Confirmed > TDM any day IMO.
Seriously, I can find a game in MW2 nevermind Black Ops quicker than MW3. Furthermore, I didn't shell out RM180 to play 1 mode all the time. I don't see why we can't connect to Aus/HK/JPN/TWN/KOR gamers. It feels like there are 20 Malaysians playing MW3 and everyone is in TDM. ARRGGH! Last night at least there were some people playing in Ground War. Sigh. WHY IW? WHY? Rant over. |

Why does the graphics look a bit 'retarded' in MP? Is it because of the lag (two bars when playing) or...?

After few more hours of frustrating time in campaign veteran mode. I think I can adopt the play style. What I'm thinking, "Yeah, not that bad actually. Kind of fun!"
Just had one opportunity to be in multiplayer team deathmatch but turns out soo bad laggy. Hope it can be better next time. I can't connect to other region as well. I think its more bandwidth dependent now. As for Abrak, since COD is more of an arcade like experience, you should consider getting something more than wireless broadband, if not COD will continue to kick your a$$ with lag.

If I understand it correctly, the matchmaking works by searching for the fastest host available with min 150ms lag. So it happen that the fastest host available is always coming from own country.
Even if you're the host in a game, next session they might change the host if another person in your game has better ping. |

My friend lives in the UK but everytime I join his party and we search for a game, I'm immediately kicked out and we turn out to be in separate matches...

For the first time, i manage to launch and witness a MOAB. The MOAB is a secret killstreak earned by collecting 25 kills without dying. I got it at 24 kills cause I am using the hardline perk which reduces killstreak requirements by 1 kill. The map that i gotten it on is Dome. Final score is 34 kills and 4 deaths and an assist too. When the MOAB is activated a 10 second counter will appear and at the end of it, everything will go into slow mo like watching the killcam and all the members of the opposing team will be killed. After that the whole area have a orange atmosphere like dawn. I uploaded the game to my vault so you can check it out for yourself if you havent seen it yet. |

I got an online friend who invited me to play a team deathmatch or kill confirmed (i don't quite remember), our tag name was highlighted in yellow color and we always stay in the same team due to this i guess (correct me if i'm wrong)...
i wonder how to do that coz i would like to invite friend to play where we can be in the same team... |

Prestige mode allows you have a prestige token to unlock items available in the prestige shop. For a list of items redeemable in the shop, well you will have to google it yourself.
And yes, the emblem is also used to show off you can say but personally, i will be stopping at prestige 8. Never prefer the addition of the skull in the emblem. |

The Infected mode in MW3 has officially renewed my interest in the game. It's the closest thing to Timesplitters 3's Infected mode
If only Timesplitters 4 was out.. I would abandon MW3 and every other FPS just to play TS4. |
