I assume you meant the prepaid cards? If you got credit card best use that. It will only charge what you pay for and no extra costs.

PSN cards can be found by any of LYN either from terion or tashfinsheikh (the 2 more famous ones). Sony shops will also sell but I heard they may take about 5% additional comission or something.

PS+ is like a privilege program. You can get some games for free (but if expire, the game will expire also), buy games at discount (this r permanent), get other free stuff like themes / avatars, etc. You can also save your games on the PS Cloud (as backup), and get automatic game updates (no need to load the Blu-ray disc in).

Some games can be massive size (eg 2 GB upwards) and some are super small (less than 500 MB) so it depends. You can just surf the PSN and see.

Streamyx 1 mb should be no problem because I use that too. I just left my PS3 on for few days and it'll be downloaded. I've downloaded over 300 GB worth of stuff (mainly its free trailers and Playstation Tester series) with my streamyx and no problem. Sure will be slow but should be alright.
