i dont see the difference, whether intentional or not. He can run into the goal post and fake an injury, then came on the pitch when the ball comes, or simply ask a teammate to 'accidentally' push him out (during a corner kick or something), etc

i not sure if i'm right, but i believe that in ur scenario thats illegal coz if he came back on n touch the ball, he will be part of the play oledi then, while the debate abt Panucci is that whether he is part of the play or not.

there still plenty of people who are disagree wif UEFA, such as Scolari, so as i say, its a never-ending debate. lets juz forget abt it.

At the end of the day, the other two goals were perfectly legitimate so to continue looking too much into that goal would be disrespectful to the Dutch. Van Basten and co. fully deserved the victory. Brilliant counter attacking play.

Why doesn't Donadoni start Del Piero ?
A 21goals a season player doesn't deserve a place on the bench.

Toni was too isolated in the game against the dutch. It was painful to watch.

That's why they need Del Piero. He is the closest thing to some sort of play maker. Of course there's Pirlo but he plays too deep to be as effective. He needs the men upfront to be on their A game as well. Camoranesi just doesn't work for me.
I think he should be sacrificed making it.

Panucci---Barzagli---Materazzi---Zambrotta

Gatusso----Pirlo----Ambrosini

Di Natale----Toni----Del piero

the all-Milan midfield had failed miserably, n i dont think the Don is stupid enough to repeat that again.

i would say Cassano is the best playmaker we have. he got the ability to perform something magical out of nothing, which is something ADP hardly does.

He failed in Madrid not because of lack of ability but because of his off field antics. Heck even Capello couldn't change him.

i have big doubt over Barzagli & Gattuso.

Barzagli made couple of mistakes. should be replaced by Chiellini who had good season with Juventus. Grosso should also start if Donadoni dares to drop Panucci or Zambrotta.

Gattuso did nothing more than being a bull dog like. No sense of creating chances or whatsoever. Bring De Rossi or Aquilani in the middle to replace him.

agree with Di Natale - Toni - Del Piero. Toni lacked support during 1st game but with help from Del Piero and Di Natale and decent passes from midfield, hope things change.

my RM1.57 cents

Maybe it will be 4-3-1-2 against Romania.

____________Buffon_______________

Zambrotta - Barzagli - Chiellini - Grosso

_____De Rossi - Pirlo - Ambrosini_____

_____________???_________________

___________Toni - ???______________

For me, get Ambrosini out and bring anyone else please.

sources in Italy said that ADP is set to starts n take over the captain armband, since he wil be the most senior player on the field.

Perrotta n DDR hav good chance to starts as well, replacing Ambrosini n Rino.

it is good news. ridiculous lo Donadoni did not play Del Piero from start in 1st game cause he was in great form with Juventus and oso top scorer for Serie A. u nevermind the age lo when form & fitness r still great

i think Toni cannot play lone striker unless they use 4-3-3 which he gets better support and feeding. Del Piero will be crucial part here

oso time to change Gattuso and Ambrosini with others. i can sniff De Rossi to be one of them haha
