QUOTE(ic3joker @ May 30 2011, 07:18 PM) yes la. samsung now really put effort on making galaxy s series phone. i think the next thing the should do is control the price. so that others wont think samsung is cheap. one thing is always true:great hardwares need great softwares. Samsung really fail when come to its software department if compared to HTC. Motorola sucks even more than Samsung. Motoblur? LOL Touchwiz? LOL why did they pick super-lame name for their UI? SAMSUNG (屮゚Д゚)屮 Y U NO BE ORIGINAL? don't copy Apple la. or people will think you're cheap. my 2cents |

QUOTE(Bugeca @ May 30 2011, 07:43 PM) What's so great about Sense anyway? Apart from out of box experience. sometimes, an experienced Android user do want a great out-of-the-box experience. Good hardware, bad software - still ok if in the hand of hardcore android. Bad hardware, good software - suck, forever it will be till change phone. can you imagine how hard for those newbies to accept the fact that their SGS have so many problems out-of-the-box? lags, GPS problem, bluish screen etc.. yes, I agree. bad hardware means eternal bad luck. |

QUOTE(Bugeca @ May 30 2011, 07:47 PM) There was a news that Samsung insisted (thru their lawyers) to have a look of Apple Iphone 5 (or next generation phone) and Ipad 3 (or next generation tablet) just to make sure they will not copy Apple. LOL, think about it, what a damn move from Samsung to peek into Apple products if the judge on their side laaa. Samsung is a naughty boy! LOL |

QUOTE(Bugeca @ May 30 2011, 08:01 PM) Yeah, it's true. Samsung beginning to have it own design signature. They claimed that SGS3 will be totally different than SGS1 & 2. I honestly think that SGS II have a little similarities with Iphone 4. in terms of phone's design. |

QUOTE(Bugeca @ May 30 2011, 08:14 PM) Last night, I accompanied my wife for a business meeting. I sat on a different table but I can see that the person she met (old chap, late 40s) is using SGS. I just scream in my heart... I think we, hardcore SGS users, have to search for those n00bs around the globe still running Eclair on their SGS."Give me the phone... let me turn it to Ferrari" It was so lag, I think the phone running Eclair. and slap them a little bit for being a slowpoke. and then, we flashed the latest stable custom rom on their phone. i don't see why we can't do this. LOL |

QUOTE(lightning69 @ May 30 2011, 11:04 PM) I am kind of tired with my SGS after a month. For me Samsung phones is pretty shitty. if u hang out more with XDA or LYN SGS thread, you'll know that Darkyy rom is not the best custom rom right now. Darkyy acts like an ungrateful child, ditching SGS community immediately after he got himself SGS II. where he got the money? donation from his loyal fans. I was having dinner with a few friends just now and was trying to open map to show a friend some location but then the the phone crash. Just hang for no reason. Then I reboot only to have the Launcherpro Plus crashing and I have to reboot again. The other day I was with my wife and 2 friends having lunch at Kinky Fat Chef Kitchen and there was an offer that if four friends were to check in with Foursquare, we would get free french fries. 2 of my friends are using iphone 4 and my wife is using iPad. They all manage to login to foursquare and check-in while my SGS were having shit load of problems with gps and cannot find the location. I have to go outside under the hot sun to get a gps lock just to check in with foursquare. I think I have learn my lesson for not sticking with iphone. I thought it would be great to be able to customise my phones to my hearts content, but all those customisation is only to make the phone look prettier. But when it comes to actual usage, the iphone is simply better. No lag, no unnecessary battery drain by OS, no gps problem, no crash, and most important of all its got tons great apps. I hope i am no affending a lot of SGS fans here. For me SGS is just too problematic and what I want is a phone that works well when you need it, stable and again it must have great apps which android is still very far behind. the rom may be fast, but it's not necessarily stable. Doc's Froyo roms are more stable. i'm on Doc's rom longer than any custom rom, so I knew how stable Doc's rom is. I think your best solution is: stay away from Darkyy's rom. I totally agree with gmhafiz |

this is not general gadget talk forum. need to discuss apple? please go to Apple Bite.
people like you is what makes Apple feels superior. you feed their arrogance. you make them feel they're great and all. seriously, when SGS II is released, many "vs iphone 4" videos emerged. why is that, why? why still want to compare? it's a completely different class of gadget!! some people are too simple-minded, i guess. i understand if girls or old folks love iSteve. but I don't see why real men should love it. |

yo bro adriant eddy. any new android T-shirts design?
i bought the first batch. it's not that great. the shirt looks kinda stretched now and the Android logo have become a little dirty no matter how hard I brush. maybe you should improve material quality for the next batch. then, focus on design. just my suggestion though. |

QUOTE(noobie1 @ Jun 2 2011, 09:15 AM) have some faith.Google is cleaning Android Market. many emulators are now pulled. Pokedroid, my favourite companion for playing Pokemon games, is also pulled. soon, Market will be clean. but at the cost of apps number. but for now, let's install Lookout or AVG or any AntiMalwares. hey, Apple fans. you win this time. enjoy it while it lasts. |

QUOTE(sendoh_7 @ Jun 2 2011, 10:24 AM) yeay..im on cm7..not as hard as i expected..lol 1) don't know, I remember seeing this posted somewhere at XDA but can't seem to trace it.question for cm7 senior users over here: 1) how to turn off camera shutter sound? 2) which gapps should i dl? this one gapps-gb-20110307-signed.zip? i flash this one and when it try to dl some google apps from market, most of it is not available 3) do we need to update the modem?what is the default modem came with the zip file? 4) CM7 rocks 2) yup, that's it. i believe you should use MarketAccess and simulate T-Mobile sim numeric. then, you can download all Google apps. 3) you can update if you're not satisfied with the current modem. default is XXJVK. 4) right you are! |

QUOTE(noobie1 @ Jun 2 2011, 10:49 AM) what u say? I understand your concern. I also think the same like you. maybe Lookout invented that DroidDream and DroidDream Light to get more money. or maybe it was invented by some low-life iFag scums who hate Android so much. or perhaps Windows Phone fan..? though I seriously doubt that iFags can invent anything.yea, i know many emulator being pulled..speaking of antimalware, i am just aware of that antimalware itself might be the malware..LOL QUOTE(lightning69 @ Jun 2 2011, 11:56 AM) actually we don't need to. if you're paranoid, and you're VERY new to Android you better download Antimalwares. I ask my friends, whether they know about apps permission and he don't even know what that means, so I immediately force him to download AVG, even though he's using HTC Wildfire. I wonder how laggy his phone is now. LOLQUOTE(gmhafiz @ Jun 2 2011, 12:09 PM) No single operating system are virus & malware free. Although linux & BSD have the best security out of box, they can still be attacked. OSX is even more vulnerable than windows 7 (gasp!) yes, I agree. most users are not well informed about their own role in preventing malwares infection. they tend to rely on others to make them feel secured. that's why many Antivirus solution is available on the market right now (for Windows). because people are so damn ignorant. The best security layer is the user itself. Not installing pirate/warez apps is a good step. c'mon people! take a look at apps permission before downloading anything from Android Market. and please don't download any pron apps from Market. we have Adobe Flash Player in our browser right? LOL |

hey lightning69
you remind me of my old self when I first got my phone. i'm so angry with Samsung. come to think of it, I sounded a bit childish and immature. but now, I love Samsung so much. can't live without it. I honestly think that you just need more experience. then, you'll be happy. for now, stop comparing Apple to Samsung, iphone to SGS, etc. we don't really want to hear that. seriously. cheers |

QUOTE(gmhafiz @ Jun 5 2011, 02:43 AM) Not quite that. I know setting up a router is easy but I know people who can still make screw ups. it is, apparently. my friends always asking me very simple thing about his Android phone. even though it's uber easy to find. just touch the menu button, we'll find what we want, most of the time.Besides cosmetic difference, on what sense android is harder to use? We got useful widgets and pull down notification bars, among others. That's easier than iOS. Is more options = harder to use? one of my friends: after three months using his Android phone, only now he know that his phone got pulldown notification. i even need to translate it to layman term about what is that noti thingy. human being really have infinite ignorance and arrogance it seems. well, I got the latter.
