I salute whoever doesn't affected by Android-Apple flame wars (especially our TS gmhafiz)
if iFags saw that I put Android first they'll surely seriously butthurt, but what do I care? it's alphabetically legal!
checking in for V17 after so many threads. but I feel kinda sad that I don't start from V1. hahaha

need input from Juwe's rom fans. does it truly have larger battery life as compared to other GB roms? I'm on Goatrip 1.9, it's awesome btw.

what I heard from others and my own deduction:
-Tweaky JVH got some issues, less stable. but got XME CSC and TW4
-Juwe JBH is stable and smooth. but UI kinda sucks (full black)
-Goatrip JVH is even smoother, can add/remove system apps easily with Goatool. but got problem with kernel coz it use DamianGTO kernel. I really hate that guy. dah lah english broken.

I'm still on Goatrip 1.9 with CFroot kernel. sometimes my phone freezes and my front camera not working, but too malas to flash new rom. unless someone "poison" me.

nice! greeted by FC after flashing to Tweakys. LOL
criskelo might be the best JVH for now.

if criskelo giving me headache like the rest of GBs, roll back to Froyo I will.

what do you guys usually do: move all your apps to phone memory or internal SD?

if we restore with Titanium Backup, not every apps will be moved to phone memory. do you guys notice this?

what happen if we don't move those apps back to phone memory?

guys..need some answer/opinions here.

is it covinient for me to get the power pack for sgs? is it worth? anyone using it?
*
did you mean portable battery charger like sanyo mobile booster? i'm using that
quite ok la. 5000mAh extra power for me. i don't want to add bulkiness to my slim phone that's why I bought that sanyo battery.
or you can buy spare battery with extended power capacity like what some user kmrdeva using *if I'm not mistaken*.

I will gladly help my friend with their SGS. only that I'm the only one with SGS. hahaha

on Simply Honey 3.5 with Dark Core 2.4 kernel.
complete lag-free and FC-free. seriously guys, I've tried most of JVH custom roms: Gingercriskelo, Tweakys, Goatrip.. and Simply Honey really stands out.

XXJVO is out. shiet! why must this happen to me? haha
actually I'll be waiting for Simone to update his custom rom to XXJVO. I have high hopes for this rom. it's simply awesome!

I find that Darky ram boost tweak a lil too aggressive. sure, my phone is flying. but now my phone act like an iBrain. no multitasking, coz all apps running were immediately closed as soon as I minimize it. maybe what I have to do is install AutoKiller app, set to Optimum preset when I want multitasking. while on a daily basis, I should let Darky ram boost tweak do its job.

mind telling me what's kernel is hot right now for CM7? and one more thing: how do I restore my TB backup in to CM7? last time I try, not all my apps setting were preserved. I have played Paradise Island for 20 hours now, and it'd be really fantastic if all my game progress got wiped out.
ahh... headache

platypus (zach's kernel) is kinda stable for me.. TK-glich got me bootloop last time

as for TB, my method might be oldschool tongue.gif

before flash, i copy TB backup folder to ext sd.
after flash.. i first install and run TB so it create a TB backup folder (int).
then i copy all data from my TB (ext) into TB (int) folder

since that.. even i flash nightly.. np to restore any apps
*
so that's how you guys do it! hmm.gif hmm better try this myself.
btw, where do I download modem files for CM7?

EDIT: the instruction posted on CM7 thread and website are incomplete. is this some kind of deliberate tactic to avoid noobs? dammit

make sure u have the latest version kernel.. btw hows ur imei? still intact?
*
IMEI lost. I replaced efs folder with the one I backed up earlier. restart phone, still no signal.
then, I flashed latest quorra 11 test r2. phone boots but with no signal also.
I reboot into recovery. then, I flashed JVO modem for CM7. Phone stucks at Cyanogenmod bootscreen. what to do now? any idea?

after you replace the efs folder do you check if your imei restore or not?
*
nope, doesn't restore.
solution: flash EZBase 2.0 IMEI restored. trying CM7 one more time. hahaha trial and error LOL

Kite kena teynang bro! "zaman cuak2 kebebeh bila phone rosak" are long gone. I'm a power user now. LOL

EDIT: zach's quorra 11 are not compatible with nightly 12. no wonder la. I thought I'm the only one got this issue. reflashing CM7 (to get stock CM kernel back)

EDIT#2: I found out how to preserve all my apps data into CM7. sharing is caring right?
launch TB>preferences>restore backups to...> Original location (for TB 3.2.8+ backups)
now I'm super duper happy with CM7! rclxm9.gif

hey guys. wanna see something effed up? PlugIns for ChainFire3D

I just tried "Samurai II: Vengeance", a Tegra 2 exlusive games, and it's working SUPER smooth on my SGS with CM7.
this is another BS from Nvidia, after so many years doing dirty works in desktop gaming. damn you, Nvidia! vmad.gif

Did nVidia claimed that the game won't run smoothly on other devices?
*
no, they don't say that. but they did prevent other devices eg SGS with PowerVR540 (with almost same amount of processing power) from running this game. BS la Nvidia!

same tactics like what they used before: "working" closely with devs. wtf man! our SGS can handle the same amount of work. damn it

Nice...but what to do with the file..?? Where to put it..??
*
1 download Chainfire3D
2 then launch app.
3 then click Install driver.
4 wait for your SGS to reboot.
5 launch Chainfire3D again.
6 click install plugin. you should put those plugins (.zip folder) on the root of your internal memory
7 click default OpenGL setting. load plugin which u need.
8 launch those Tegra 2 games.
