never get Federal 595 evo, it really suck based on me & a fren with federal semi slick tyre.

Tyre uneven & poorly made, Vibrate when highspeed even on wheel balancing also cannot help.

Just my personal experience, not sure about the rest.

the only good federal is the RS-R.. of late, federal tires suffer from qc problem, not consistent..

ecsta ku-31 but size is quite limited. continental comfort contact 5 is selling below 200 bucks but its not suitable for spirited driving. if you could up your budget, there are ps3, c.drive2, ziex 912 and few others.

as far as i know, 595 evo is not a semi slick tires. their slicks range usually labelled in fz.
anyway, some batch of 595 evo does suffer from quality problem. i've seen a crack appear
on sidewall.
directional tread tires sometimes does have an issue on alignment. but in some, case, it could be corrected
with swapping tire position.

Running 4 brand new ku31 on little kenari 14inch rim. As my comparison is subjective, and might be bias a little since i m comparing it with old silverstone stock tyres. Here's my finding after 300+ km.

1. Side wall of ku31 seems softer than expected. I hv to pump 32psi front, 30psi rear, otherwise it's just too soft for the front tyres. Should i say it's about the same side wall strength as silverstone.

2. It has more grip in dry, but not sure about wet yet. Corner well, stop well.

3. More noise generated from ku31. Don't know how much, but i m sure it's noticeable difference at cruising speed of 80km/hr and above. Below that, it's quiet.

I just tried the tyre size conversion. It says that 2.38% diameter difference for a honda city to change its tyre from 185 55 16 to 195 55 15... Is it dangerous? Because my friend does drive crazy sometimes..

As long as it's within 3%, it's ok.
What's has your friend does drive crazy sometimes got to do with your tyre changing? If there's any reason, get a better set of tyres.

ecsta ku31?
like dunlop d01 which is more like a hard rubber, certain offering from silverstone does made from hard rubber, thus, giving a 'feel' their sidewall is harder.
btw, tires usually start showing their true potential once the run-in mileage, which could be from as low as 500km covered.
and most of the directional tread tend to be noisy in nature.

kobe10@
anything not exceed the 3% range should be fine. 15" wheel and tires is lighter, so, it could even compensate for the different.
ps3 has a good grip. no worry.

yngwie,
ku31 is all good for now other than the noise part. But being cheap, i can't complain much. It's cheaper than the PP2 by RM 60 per piece.
Didn't check out v8rs though.

if you're on 17", goodyear f1 asymmetric, hankook s1 evo or even v12 is worth a try,

xDjWanNabex@
limited choice at your budget but you could try nexen or even maxxis victra series. quite a number of lowyat fnf regular are using it.
