Now that the transformer's price has been announced, i've gone ahead and purchased the iconia instead. Both cost the same price ($1499 , without keyboard) Here's my reasoning.

Firstly, i ask myself what's the point of getting a keyboard and turn the transformer into a laptop if i already own a proper laptop ? If i'm going to travel out with a transformer laptop, i might as well travel with my proper laptop. I am pretty sure all potential tablet owners here already own laptops. With the novelty of the not needing the keyboard justified, i turn my attention to the tablet itself. Clearly, the transformer lacks all the extra ports the iconia has. This alone is enough to give the iconia the win. For the same price, the transformer has a better screen, but the iconia has very useful microsd & usb ports built onto the tab AND it also comes with 32gig storage versus transformer's 16gig. In the end, the above reasons is why i choose the iconia over the transformer.

I have that live wallpaper on my iconia

so has anyone found out where to buy the protective case yet for the iconia tab ? I checked out lowyat & digital mall, none.

After using my iconia for a couple days, I have start to notice some bugs in honeycomb. Random reboot, screen auto on for no reason, battery icon stuck on charging when it is not. Definately a 1.0 version of the OS.Half the apps in market cannot download. Same with applanet. Might have to hard reset the device.

guys, you can find the micro hdmi cable from any phone outlet selling LG Optimus 2x. i bought mine in midvalley. It is suppose to be free with the LG, but they will happy to sell you the cable alone. It is good quality but very expensive, i paid RM130 for it and tested it with my TV, it works.

Like any 'branded' cables, you will need to pay premium. The LG cable i purchased is LG ORI. I suspect you will pay roughly the same if you are going for the SONY ORI.

I think those of you who paid for the slide in case got ripped off. Quite a few of us here got the case free with the tablet, including myself. Btw, i bought from ALL IT Ikano for RM1499 with the case.

I bought it about 1 month ago. The sales guy/lady had to think about it and did some calculation for 10 minutes before agreeing to sell for 1499. Probably took it out of their commision.
