hi there.. has anyone use the new HP Pavilion dv4 series 3106tx/3107tx?? any bad reviews? where can i get those laptop?

and umm.. i would like to ask if i'm buying HP laptop in malaysia, do i able to customize the laptop on my own without voiding the warranty? Because i'm actually from Indonesia and the HP they sold here is that they put a warranty sticker at the bottom and when the sticker is ripped your warranty is void too. is this the same in Malaysia?

ahh. haha. no problem thank you anyway.. bcos my old dell laptop has not such thing as warranty sticker which makes me easier when i'm about to change ram or maybe cleaning my laptop. thanks for the info

can u recommend me laptop with price below 3k with good performance?? something similar to the HP Pavilion dv4 3107tx specs.

Just bought HP Pavilion dv4-3023tx (Indonesian Model)

it has same spec as Malaysian HP Pavilion dv4-3106tx/3107tx but slightly different in the laptop model

1. So far i haven't experience any issues with this laptop. The laptop performance is amazing (based on my opinion )

2. I've tried watching Bluray "Michael Jackson - This Is It" movie.. i've tried using the Intel HD graphic (works perfectly well, no lag) and the ATI Radeon 6750 (works well too, no lag)

3. battery having quite long life.. try using power saving with 50% brightness it can stays up to 4 hours 30 minutes.. maybe if using 0%-10% brightness can go up to 5hours++

4. Haven't try playing games.. haven't install any..

5. USB3.0 - haven't try. i don't have any usb3.0 devices. haha. but we can use usb2.0 device in there. the performance is pretty good.

6. Laptop webcam is good

7. No heat issues during installing software / updating windows / watching movies.. haven't try gaming

8. overall the laptop is good with the price tag quite cheap from what i think..

ahhh... i've done that earlier but the problem is my hdd has 580GB free space.. so i'm planning to make it 120GB and 460GB but during the process i can only split it even to 290GB each.. cant shrink the volume anymore.. because i don't really need that much hdd space in the main drive C:

looks like gparted has some problem with it. looks scary for me. which one is better? using these software we don't need to format the hdd rite?? scared of losing my data.

done using easeus.. thanks for the suggestion though.. and i just found out that using basic disk we can only have max 4 partition, need to convert mine to dynamic.. no other choices.. though i'm not clear what's the difference in basic disk vs dynamic disk..

forget to mention that i also using a cooler master cooling pad.. forget what is the type but it's the one that can re-arrange the fan at any position.. and i'm using 3 fan

umm.. not sure.. hahaha.. but mine is originally comes with 2 fan and i bought 1 additional fan on my own..

yes!! hahahaha... luckily still working well till now.. last time one of my fan keeps making loud noise but then i try to clean it and move it to other position and the noise is gone..

hope you guys can take a look.. It has different model with Malaysia one but the spec is same..

one thing i don't really like is the arrow button.. the half size Up/Down, need time to get used to it..

Indonesian Model has the dvd-rom in the left side, Malaysian one on the right side (i see it in the HP Malaysia website)

i know.. but i prefer using either corsair or samsung.. and i've just read that samsung's ram use less power and might help longer battery life and the performance is good

Hi guys.. Need recommendation on laptop for my friends ASAP...

1. Need 15" monitor
2. Powerful laptop for design student (for 3dmax and similar software)
3. at least 8gb ram
4. Good durability of the laptop
5. No Acer brand
6. No budget limit

i'm not sure why but maybe it's because my friend's acer having problem. She bought it in Singapore few years ago, then the display won't show anything, try to service in Indonesia (we're Indonesian) they say it can't be repair anymore without saying what's the problem is (sucks!). She just need a laptop to use for her work now.
