Hi, I just get my own DV4-3008TX few days ago, and was using without issue; until i accidentally max the volume of the lappy. I found that the left side of the speaker is giving out some breaking/crackling sound quality. I search and search a lot of forums and do what ever update and all which might solve the issue as this is a new lappy and i doubt that the speaker is spoilt.

Mana tau; nothing helps :-(; the lappy quality remains and nothing changes.. I called hp and asked for technical support, they said that some laptop's built in speaker is like that one.. == Also they claim that i have to sent for them to inspect (*after I ask and ask and ask).

I wanna look for any users who own the same ware as me; and are you having the same problem as mine? Mine just the left speaker. Is it just me, or all HP dv4-3008tx have the same issue.

No no, just the on board speaker.. Err.. It is not specifically a crackling sound.. I don't know how to describe clearly; it is some sort of distrubance, like as if the speaker is facing a plastic obstacle which creates an annoying disturbance kind of sound;
Eg, putting a piece of paper stick at your dekstop speaker/ laptop speaker and max the volume.. The kind of disturbance sound. Which likes vibrates the whole lappy.. :-(

Any DV4 users got same issue as me?? Just the left speaker..

Try closing the microphones at the sound hardware and see if the problem persists.

Ya, the speaker is giving buzzing sound (*thanks, cant think of a descriptive phrase ==).. Specially in max volume, but only to the left speaker, which is weird cause if as claimed by HP that loud volume would cause this; as the other one is fine.

I did turn of mic/update and everything I could do with my laptop.. Even worried that in might have something to do with driver incompatibility, I disable the drivers one by one and tried... But no luck :-(...

That's why I wanna ask if it is only my unit, or most DV4/DV4-3008tx with Altec-Lansing speaker have the same issue as mine... Cause if yes.. Then really %$*##&$^%..... ==

Added on June 5, 2011, 4:13 pmOh, and specially with playback of real media files playback; the left speaker buzzing sound is even much more obvious... ==

yes bro.

My 3008tx gives the same problem too.. Then I sent to HP centre for them to fix it..

The IDT audio is the one causing to main problem.. Too much treble.. try not to turn to max volume la.
