i wanna to buy a new laptop as a college student.. for daily use (word, adobe, photoshop, internet, simple games, movie....) n i want a laptop that can run multiple tasks at the same time at fast speed.
so is it much differences between i3 and i5 or even i7 for me? how about 1st generation and 2nd generation? i m just using it for daily simple use..
pls give me some advices n suggestion.. thank you very much..

2nd generation processors are definitely better Huge performance leap from its predecessor
Whether SB i7 is needed or not depends on what you're doing with your "multiple tasks"

the studio XPS 16 supports sim card input , for 3g usage as far as i know

But im afraid its no longer in production . checked dell's site

That one usually on business notebook or ultra-portables..
Consumer one, usually just got the slot, but no 3g module/removed mini pci-e...
