I immediately searched for reviews and i found it interesting. how it compare with asus n53sv because before this i was thinking about buying it.
i cant really understand the difference between those spec number tongue.gif

thanks again!

well, for one thing n53sv is 15" and vostro 3750 is 17" laugh.gif

spec wise, n53sv gpu is relatively better compared to vostro 3750, and comes with a better speaker too (bang & oflusen)
meanwhile vostro 3750 got a backlit keyboard brows.gif

which one better?

gpu wise, imo dv6 gpu is better. but then xps15 offers top dell warranty service and option for fullhd screen, not to mention backlit keyboard brows.gif

Yeah, that's the cue~
I think you'll only receive the call if you have the "Open Box and Boot up" service (which if you have, please do let them do for you laugh.gif)
Wow, grats you, you'll get it tomorrow already  wub.gif

i see, i didn't opt for that. so i heard you getting bsod during first time boot on that vostro? what's really happened?

1. Brand : Any

2. Budget: RM 3000+-

3. Specs.

- Looking for an i5 / i7 , decent graphic card with optimus
- Good battery life
- Easy to access the harddisk bay for SSD upgrade
- Possible for full HD screen?
4. Size

Anything from 14" -15" . The lighter the better , would be carrying it to university.

5. Usage - mostly used for typing , surfing net and light gaming
Im currently looking at Acer TimelineX, Lenovo Y470 , Dell xps15. Any other suggestions? Thanks

This lenovo Y470 reliable or not ah ? All i know is asus is pretty reliable. The design is pretty nice might eventually get it.
How is the audio system and all ? My friends lenovo, he got it like maybe 2 years back now the battery cannot use d. So he have to keep using plug to turn on his laptop which is bad.

Thinking of getting sager but I am unsure due to the warranty. I am afraid next time if anything happen then I need to send it back and it will take long time for it to be repaired. Defeats the purpose of getting laptop. Might as well just stick with N43SL but i want a chiclet keyboard !!

lenovo y470 gt550m version got jbl speaker, so supposed to have a better audio system

gpu wise, gt540m > gt525m > intel hd3000

asus comes with 2 year international warranty but doesn't comes with optimus tech
for dell, you gonna need to fork out some money to extend the warranty but the after sales service is good.

maybe you can find more information by reading the review from the net.

i don't really know about inspiron, but vostro is business line, so

focus more on cpu, coupled with average gpu, backlit keyboard, and longer battery life perhaps?

though vostro 3350 got mono speaker, so quite crappy audio system, but since its for business user,
it's acceptable.

@vivakarna

i personally prefer xps15 rather than xps 15z, still extending the warranty is a good choice
