o wait, i must've mistaken your requirement, so below 1.5k is

A42Jz, P6200 + AMD HD6470@RM1349[/B][2.2kg], FreeDOS
K43U, AMD E-350 + AMD HD6310@RM1299[2.6kg], W7S, [6-cell 5200mAH]
X42DE, AMD Phenom II N830 + ATI HD5470@RM1499[2.2kg], FreeDOS, Colors: Black/Blue/Red/White

right? hd6470 is relatively better compared to the other two, cpu wise n830 is relatively better compared to the other two.

dual core, tri core really depends on your usage and application you going to run, but since your usage is gaming,

A42Jz, P6200 + AMD HD6470@RM1349[/B][2.2kg], FreeDOS is the best.

yep, that would be the best, buy only when you need it. you can't keep track with technology, new models always come out

ASUS U41SV (Nvidia GT540m) or asus N series? i need a light laptop but a laptop which can handle modern games.

is the ASUS U41SV underpowered compared with a comprable N series laptop?

Budget 3k.

if u want to compare between u41sv and n43sl, both model have same i5-2410m + gt540m variant.

u-series is usually lighter and offer a longer battery life, meanwhile n-series got premium speaker (bang & oflusen)

sure but then since gaming relies more on gpu, hd6770 is relatively better compared to gt540m

not sure how b&o audio compared to beats in hp though

Guys I am looking for a laptop for my girlfriend. My budget is around RM1,500.
Basically she will use for normal work (words, excel) and entertainment(Dramas) only.
Preferably a girlist and bright colour lappie.

Thanks!

Hi guys. I'm going to university soon, so I'm looking to get a new laptop.

Budget is around rm4000. Ideal is 14 or 15 inch, Good battery life (at least 3 hours), at least 320GB hard drive, i5 processor or better, 4GB RAM, and HD display (900 or 1080p is fine).

Uses are for general coursework, surfing the Net, watching movies and moderate gaming (Battlefield / Crysis etc).

I was considering the Alienware m14x, but then I heard a few bad things about it (bad display, average graphics etc) so I wanna see if there are any better recommendations out there.

Thanks a bunch smile.gif

for reso 900p or 1080p, your best shot will be

XPS 15, i5-2410M + Nvidia GT540M@RM3299 [JBL], upgradeable to FullHD, backlit keyboard customizable

or if you considering to importing sager,

NP5165, i5-2410M + Nvidia GT555M + (1920x1080)@RM3236, FreeDOS

regarding m14x, it's not a bad display per se, it's just glossy, so quite reflective for outdoor usage. and also not so average graphic tbh,
still is considered the most powerful 14" in the market for the time being.

edit: o wait, you can't get m14x with 4k budget sweat.gif

well then, good for you. but afaik, a43sv doesn't implemented optimus
so no optimus + i7, don't expect a long battery life nod.gif
just a heads up
