you can share apps with infinite number of people. but remember 2 things. 1. they can only update if you give them your iTunes password. 2. if you give them your iTunes password, they can buy stuff using your credit card

Correct me if I'm wrong. The app/ song/ movie/ show bought under particular Apple ID are allowed to share with up to 5 authorized computer or idevice.
You have to authorize the particular device with the same Apple ID that purchased the app.

IINM, the 5 limitation applies to computers... not to iDevice. @ExCrIpT this is actually borderline illegal, as the iTunes T&C doesn't allow this kind of sharing. you're on your own here

@xaw5126 http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/us/terms.html#USAGERULESQUOTE (ii) You shall be authorized to use Products on five Apple-authorized devices at any time, except for Content Rentals (see below). I presume one could de-authorize devices to make room for another so long it's within 5 that's active. It's a hassle but it should work.

You can force install an app to a supported iDevice using iPhone Configuration Utility app released by Apple.

@chamelion.
definitely. are you syncing both ipads to the same computer? if not, you just need to authorize the other computer with the necessary authorizations.
