henryhing, wah... chill... i tot the point is to encourage ppl who needs help in bf not to pinpoint or magnify their mistakes... i was a fm feed bb but i dun blame my mum... then there was this concept of fm is better than bm... mayb that's y the gov require certain rules for fm like a warning that fm can nv ever take the place of bm... n advertisement too... if a mum needs help in bf or has a prob, should encourage ma... else she'll give up... i know some give up coz it's just too hard n there's no support coz ppl around them say "u just dun have enuf supply" "fm is easier" etc... i've been thru that n i hope to encourage more mummies to bf...
Han89, at first the road is rocky but when u get thru it then u'll b fine... if at starting point already give up then no point pushing anymore... just like u race 100meter... will u give up running if u r just run off from starting point? u haven't reach the finishing line so u dunno whether u'll finish the race... it's up to the mum of coz... if she decides to give fm then we should respect her... if she decides to bf then she needs all the support n encouragement she can get... to u n other mummies that r trying or still bf, gambateh~! |

i oso almost gave up bf within just 1-2 weeks of giving birth... my mil kept saying i dun have enuf milk that bb keeps crying every hr or 2... so the 3rd day she bought formula... fed the baby n said c... if u have enuf milk then bb should sleep well for hrs... then i already felt disappointed n discourage... even told hb that i wanna give up... but look at me now... still bf at 6 mths n still going to... hopefully i dun get anymore interruption...

teq, when handling ebm u must remember not to shake it... y do u need to boil it? they boil it to get rid of rancid smell but so far, i dun boil oso ok ar... if temperature too hot it'll destroy all the nutrients... use the old fashion way of putting it into hot water bowl... before give to bb test if the milk is the rite temperature

evelynteh, is there any room for u to bf? ask if u can just borrow the room just for bf... when i go to my hb's aunty's house, she lent me her bedroom so i can bf... if u have a room then u can direct bf lo... or do a power bf (i think the term is correct)... u'll b half naked n baby's naked... n do some bonding n latching on... something like that... some mummies that pump exclusively on weekday n get a power bf on weekend to maintain their supply... can anyone correct me?
