There s a serious bug in 4.3. U need to choose single band either N mode or G mode. Cannot auto or mixed mode at ur modem setting. It worked for me. Never had a single drop after applying this. The only problem it is not logic to ask starbuck staff to change the mode just bcos of this stupid bug.

Hi all. . . When it comes to router, ip address etc, am seriously lost. Facing the same problem, my home wireless router works well with htc and desktop but iPad occasional no signal. My iPad is not going out the house, if anyone could help here to guide me how to set up for home use only , would greatly appreciate.

As ixiel pointed out, at your home or office router try look for the settings to change to G Mode or N mode...
Hope this help you out a bit...

Apple product does not like N routers. ALL my Apple products (MBP, iPad 2 and iPhone 4) will have internet connection problems with my N router. Finally gave up and replaced the N router with the certified Wireless G router. Have had no problem ever since.

Not sure there is an Apple N-router bug. Maybe it's the router's firmware or setting? All my 3 routers (Netgear, DLink and TP-Link) have mixed BGN modes and I have no problems at all with my iPhone 4G, 3GS, iPod Touch, Macbooks, Airport Express and iPad.

buy TPLINK router and it will solved the freq dc problem..

previously i used default tmnet unifi router and my macbookpro and ipad2 dc almost every 2mins. Bought the TPLINK router for rm79 and not a single dc since a month ago..

i bought this model TL-WR841N and leave the default settings also works fine. Still using the default tmnet router for internet but bridge the wifi and lan.. iptv still connected to tmnet default router.

Just got my unifi connection last few days ago, the wifi router is set to B/G and it's working fine with my iPad 2 with no disc atm. Will observe longer and see if it's really gives me prob otherwise will have to switch back to my SMC router.

My ipad2 just doesn't pick up my home signal all of a sudden starting yesterday. I have to sit right in front of the modem for it to work. I really don't know what to do bcoz when I sent the iPad to the store for checking last evening, they had no issues connecting!

Then it's obviously some problem with your Wifi Modem, did you or someone in your house mess with the modem settings?

Update. recently i purchased another ipad 2 (black). i put both ipad side by side in the living hall, and also iphone then i read the signal power from the modem.

The reading for my earlier ipad (white) is 30% while the black ipad and iphone is both 50%. maybe this explain why my previous ipad had some problem connecting certain wifi. it looks like its not having normal signal power.

what to do anyway. warranty period is over, even send to SC as long can connect to their wifi, they will say it has no problem.
