I second that...... It's a waste to install such crappy pickups into a bloddy wonderful guitar.

Before you go off..... I AM a heavy epiphone/gibson fanboy........ but I just think that their pickups suck....

I know dude, but I'm desperate and my wallet is empty. Well, Kurt did just that for that wonderful martin d-28 or d-18.

haa...that big baby ain't that wonderful anymore after I've tried the full blown Taylors. Anyway, I can upgrade the pickups when I have more money.
So right now I just wanna know how to assemble the pickups.

Well actually I don't quite like Gibson's P-90 pickup on LP juniors... Sounds kinda flat sometimes, too snappy sometimes. But there's no doubt about the legendary humbuckers on other LPs

So pls help me out as soon as possible. I need the Big Baby to fit thorugh an amp by 2 weeks sweat.gif

P90s are not humbuckers, they are single coils, of course it will sound snappy... But they are a tad thicker than singles...

The magnetic pickup will make your Taylor sound like crap, no doubt about it... It's best that you get a removable soundhole pickup or something that won't do any permanent damage to your guitar...

Artist can mod the hell of their gears (good or bad) because first, they got them for free; second, money ain't an object for them...

I don't know dude but I seem to like the amplified sound + the acoustic sound when played clean or a little bit of chorus effect. I don't know it's me or what but the tone seems to be thicker this way and it sounds more layered.

The Dimarzio one is quite cheap... It's like a sticker, just stick it to the top of your guitar and you're good to go...

for those active pickup users, how long before you have to change batteries? consider the amount of playing time too..

for EMGs, the manual or forgot where i read it says, even if you play everyday say about 1-2hrs...your next battery change will only be in the next 6-9 months.
