I realised the note at the bottom of the reset page. It sounds easy for remember our past 24 passwords used with HLConnect. The site system designer is either insane or an idiot.
I made another call to help line for help. Giving a same lousy excuse they are unable to help, tell me the only way is to go back ATM and apply another internet pin number.
Ok, I back to the ATM for the 2nd time to key in internet pin again.
Back at home do the whole process again, and after keyin in my new password, i got dunno what error again and ask me to call. I called and the guy said I cannot use the previous internet pin.
I back to ATM for the 3rd time. Make sure the internet pin is new one
Back at home and do it again, this time I choose another password. As I said, how could anyone remember the last 24 previous passwords? Again I got an error said I used an old password. So I retry and I swear I never had use this ultimate 8 character alphanumeric password before.... And then it give me dunno what error again ask me to call for assistance.
This is too hassle, too troublesome, too unfriendly. I call help line 4 times in different time today and the stupid call centre phone answering machine telling me that no operator is available to attend call.
To all friends out there, my advice to you is avoid HLB, period. Not worth the energy for all these. You may not experience this when you newly open an account and use their service. You will get great disappointment when you face problems later on. Unless you don't mind close the old account and reopen a new one. Other banks offers better service than this. These guys are taking things for granted. Simply give security reason as an excuse not be able to help.
Sorry la HLB, your service is seriously screwed up. All bcause you think your are great by
1) NOT ALLOW PREVIOUS INTERNET PIN, BUT STILL shows internet pin application accepted in ATM
2) ONLY ALLOW 8 characters alphanumeric password
3) EXPECT THE user remember the last 24 previous password used with HLConnect. We are human, not computer la. Yes you can say write down somewhere la. Aren't that compromising the security at the user expense?? Very clever HLB, your side security very tight, and pass the security risk to user.
4) YOU are allow to do it right at the first attempt of giving a good password at the reset password page. If you got an error, you have to go ATM to reapply a newly unused internet pin. And yes, you have to REMEMBER all the internet pin you used before, because the ATM will just accept it and you only can find out (if you use an used internet pin) when reset password website prompt you errors.
5) UNABLE to help reset via call centre. Why cc can and saving account cannot? Aren't u use the same verification method over the phone?
