attracted to the freebies offered when sign up for CC with HLB agents at hypermarket, so applied for a CC (got cash back). after sometime, received a letter saying my application got rejected.

a few days later, got another letter from HLB, this time containing a CC, but a different kind from the one I applied for, no cash back, just an entry level CC. Called the Customer Service, and found out that the agent pandai pandai make amendment in my application form after found out that my earlier application got rejected, so that he can earn commission from me.

managed to cancel my CC after threaten HLB to file complaint against them with Bank Negara.

so better take extra precaution when signing up CC with agents at hypermarket.

that happen to me before, about 2 years ago.

I applied for card A (forget which card), waited a couple weeks. Then I received 2 mails from HLB, one containing a card type B, and another mail containing a letter, saying my application for card A was rejected.

Card type B was only the basic card, which I don't want, and have to go through lots of hassle to get it cancelled.
