The above disc are all incredible.

If you want to show your friends a more natural images (eg. NOT hyper real) I recommend Baraka

A documentary film, shot in 70mm film and was digitized using the 8K process (scan from film to digital storage media at a high bit rate and then remaster)

The result, a breathtaking blu-ray disc!

If you are really into hyper real stuff, another recommendation is King Kong (Peter Jackson version)

The Dark Knight shot with IMAX , you may play that as well, and i agree with Mov_freak. Baraka would be ideal..its an awesome blu-ray to watch..

Great List Andrewtst!

Have to admit with sKyWiR3pT3lTd though, The Dark Knight does deserve a spot here too...

I didn't choose Dark Knight due to it mix of PQ. The IMAX Sequence PQ is in great spectacular presentation but normal sequence PQ is just OK.

me will recommend

the lover guard 3d - for skin tone, but only if all your friend are adult male, no women & children please

2001 space odyssey for black & white contrast

transformer 2 for colorful pic

black hawk down for details

ANDREW & SKY both recommendation are good

Every inch of details while its running on IMAX scenes is just absolute mind blowing. Not just this particular movie i would praise. Take a look at Transformers Revenge Of The Fallen IMAX Edition as well.
Scintillating scenes.

I would also recommend Toy Story 1,2,3. Its flawless PQ & AQ. Disney titles are highly recommended as well. Thanks Mov_freak.

black hawk down was a really great soundtrack to demonstrate surround speakers...
the picture has a purposely grainy feel about it which accentuates the intended feel of chaos...some ppl see this as a flaw but it is what the director intended...

transformers 2 PQ also has an overly glowing and orange skin kind of overtone to the movie... which again was intended... but its definitely not natural...which doesnt mean it still doesnt look good tho!

agreed. thats why i choose the thin red line over dark knight for this type of thing smile.gif

for FULL IMAX experiences... have to go with documentaries... or the much undermentioned "IMAX: Super Speedway" movie
